Once upon a time there was a girl whose wicked stepmother forced her to clean the entire house for Pesach all by herself. So while her stepmother and stepsisters left early for the grand seder at the Prince's palace, the girl spent the afternoon sweeping and dusting and washing and polishing. As she finally burned the last crumbs of chametz in the fireplace, she saw the sun setting and knew she would never make it to the Prince's seder on time, so she began to prepare her own meager dinner: a little Passover pizza. But miraculously, her fairy godmother appeared and transformed the pizza into a flying carpet to take her to the palace, and the cheese into a beautiful dress for her to wear. And to commemorate this story, to this very day, that cheese is named after that girl: they called her Matzah-rella.

Zionism is the Jewish people's right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland. To oppose that you either have to (1) negate Jewish peoplehood or (2) believe that the Jewish people do not deserve the same rights as other people. Either way, that's antisemitism.
middle eastern and european countries: no, we're not antisemitic at all :) the twenty five jews living here are perfectly happy!
“i’m a jew so don’t start” - guy who’s abt to say the most antisemitic shit u’ve ever heard
“as a jew—” - guy who doesn’t engage at all whatsoever with the jewish community or meaningfully connect with their jewish identity at all and only brings up being jewish when they’re explaining why It’s Not Antisemitic It’s Antizionist to call jews child killing zionazi pedophiles who drink the blood of palestinian babies during passover
"As a Jew—“ -person who was raised as atheist, and considers themself a neopagan, but found out they have 10% Jewish ancestry
“Change your conception of yourself and you will automatically change the world in which you live. Do not try to change people; they are only messengers telling you who you are. Revalue yourself and they will confirm the change.”
— Neville Goddard
Yiddish isn’t a dying language; Yiddish is a language recovering from an assassination attempt.
EDIT- OP is currently in Israel volunteering with Israeli kids displaced because of bombing. If that bothers you please do not reblog.
part of the Jewish response to the bigotry & violence we face is absolutely the desire to fight like hell to make sure nothing like that ever happens to anyone, but a) you can’t expect us to not put our own mask first or prioritize the needs of our own community, as anyone else would, and b) it is entirely different when our work to that end is demanded from outside, as if it’s owed
Until We Are All Free, We Are None of Us Free is a call for intra-community solidarity within the Jewish community. That doesn’t mean Jews don’t ever extend the values that underlie it to understand the entire world is better off if every person is free. But you don’t get to demand Jews forsake their own to do that.
Never Again is a resolution that Jews will do everything in their power to make sure the Holocaust never happens again. We can & often do look back on our persecution, including the Holocaust, as something we don’t want to happen to anyone. But the fact is it didn’t happen to anyone, it happened to us, and it is not for you to universalize our suffering as if we owe a duty to the world for surviving its hatred.
RM Bellerose is a Native Canadian American (Métis). He's not Jewish, but he supports Zionism as he is an activist for indigenous rights. He's very much worth knowing and following. And always spot-on.
nimble, a border collie-papillon mix, wins the 12” class in the 2024 masters agility championship. the first time a mixed breed has won at westminster ever.
context explaining why the announcer is screaming, this is supposed to take a high level competitive agility dog 40 seconds
This video makes me cry every time it’s on my dash and I can’t even iterate why.
Like the dog doesn’t even know it’s a competition and she’s made history. She(?) just is happy and knows she made her owner happy too.
The face of a being with only a wind storm between their ears, moments before unleashing it unto the world
The way she LEAPS into her human's arms

I’m sorry it took us so long ❤️🩹
My coworkers ask, “How are you?”
“I’m good,” I lie,
Because I don’t know how to explain
That my heart has broken
For two little boys
On the other side of the world
Who lie still in coffins,
Their lives cut short before they began.
And their mother,
Who did all she could to protect them,
Lying there alongside them.
Imagine being held hostage for ten years !
Surrounded by pure evil !
"why am i not healed yet? :("
how do you talk about yourself? how do you let other people talk to you? what steps are you taking to grow around the damage that was done to you? do you hold yourself accountable when you do wrong? do you hold yourself accountable to do the right thing? how do you take steps to recognize your problem areas so that you can fix them? healing doesn't happen spontaneously and it's not fair because trauma does. you could be having a perfectly normal afternoon and by the end of the day your life is completely different. it's not fair that healing takes more effort than being hurt, but it does. healing doesn't happen in a day, and healing happens multiple times over the course of your life, but it doesn't happen by standing still. it's 2025 and the world is on fire. make sure you give yourself the tools so that you don't burn with it. get up and plan your growth. it's time.
Hamas essentially desecrating a Palestinian person's dead body just to further psychologically terrorize Israelis really is an encapsulation of their priorities, huh.
