Hey there, Nick here. I'm sorry if someone messaged you through my account recently - my account was compromised (ie I lost access to my account) from December 4th to 8th on and any messages sent within that time frame were sent by someone who is not me.

The person who wrote that they accidentally reported your account is lying to you.

If you continued conversation with them, they likely directed you to contact someone on Discord (that's them, too), where they're impersonating Tumblr staff, from then on which they will ask for your personal details on Discord (don't tell them anything).

Tumblr Support is not on Discord and would never try to contact you from there.

They no longer have access to my account; the real Tumblr support changed my email back to my email last night, and I changed my password

actually when i was a strapping young dyke of only 2 years old i grabbed hot chocolate from the microwave, which had been boiling this beverage for 5 minutes straight, and spilled it all over me. severe burns but i was a really cool two year old and swagged through it. anyway when i got older my mother told me they had used pigs skin for the graft and so that's what i told my friends in school. ever since then my nickname in highschool had became hotdog skin. only once i was a strong and hearty lesbian did she reveal to me that it was just normal skin not pig skin and they were joking with me. i was out here telling people i had pig skin as an interesting icebreaker my entire academic life. my entire world upturned. ah well yet again i swagged through it. for women everywhere

A lot of the time people will say like "oh I'd never make fun of a disabled person" but then they do and they don't even realize that that's what they're doing. Like

People will say they wouldn't make fun of a schizophrenic or psychotic person but then make "jokes" about people being insane and delusional.

People will say they wouldn't make fun of epileptic people but then get mad about having to add flash warnings.

People will say they wouldn't make fun of an autistic person but then berate people for missing social cues.

People will say they wouldn't make fun of visually impaired people but then call people lazy for not reading things themself or making spelling mistakes.

People will say they wouldn't make fun of an intellectually disabled person but then mock people who can't do "basic" things.

I think it in part comes from the belief that the people you know couldn't possibly be disabled, that if you met a disabled person you'd be able to tell immediately. And, no. That's not how it works. If you want to be an ally to disabled people, you don't make fun of the things we do. Even if you're not making fun of someone who's disabled, you're telling the other disabled people you know that you're not safe for us to be around.

My child, who spends their entire life being transfered from home to car to school and back, and is not allowed to leave the house or talk to anyone and can only in their wildest dreams imagine a life free from constant surveillance, is very sad. kind of a tangent but i recently went to a bowling alley with my friend i'm 19 he's 18 and the woman at the door didn't want to let us in because there was a sign saying under-18s needed adult supervision. everything got cleared up and we were able to go bowl, but i'm still so mad about the fact that kids need adult supervision to go to a bowling alley and arcade. like okay maybe young kids should have supervision but what do you mean middle and high schoolers need to hold mommy's hand while they play video games. kids aren't just addicted to their phones because phones are addicting, we're addicted to our phones because there's nothing else to fucking do

I'm sure banning kids from online spaces while simultaneously not ensuring that they have access to offline spaces to socialize in (without having to rely on their parents who already don't have time for them) will help them feel better & less alienated from society.

It's good and cool to give your characters a single simple, straightforward, non-urgent, super-achievable goal that shouldn't really cost anything or hurt anyone, make that the driving factor for most of their decisions, and then have the Plot do everything in its power to stop them.

Trying to do a favor for someone

Wanting to see a specific thing, place, or kind of animal

Trying to win a bet

Wanting to punch a specific person in the face

i think we need to stop thinking the best of people who misuse disabled parking spaces. if they are disabled and need the space, it's not a misuse. but i have had family ask my ma - not even me - for my disabled parking badge and get upset that she wouldn't give them the badge. i had family take it out of my car to use it because there wasn't convenient parking near our house. half the time when i go somewhere congested and central, where i actually really do need to drive to and park close to my destination - more than half of the disabled spaces are people with no badge, in their cars, using it as a convenient stopping point. like the fact that people misuse disabled resources is a talking point that conservatives try to use to take away those resources. but the vast majority of people doing that aren't disabled. they just know someone who is and they don't care about the risk we face because of their actions. and honestly disabled people should be able to complain about this without other people telling us that we shouldn't say these things because then our rights will be taken away. brother we barely have any rights even when we do
