"Mind of Mine" not so good

When Zayn’s album was released I stayed up listening to it… and I didn’t like one song so I immediately listened to it again, from the beginning… and I still didn’t like it so I waited a couple of days… and listened to it after some distance from it… and I still didn’t like one song.

I waited anxiously for a year for the album, and what I heard was an album that sounded no different from any other album. There was nothing innovative or impressive with the arrangement of the music or lyrics. In addition, he sounded like he was singing with marbles in his mouth. I was pissed!

For a year, I defended Zayn which resulted in arguments and lost mutuals and this had kept me off of social media for awhile.

His songs are getting played because fans are bombarding radio stations with requests to play them, not because they are good songs, recognized on their own. Were fans flooding radio stations when Adele released her debut album or was it played because it held its own and was just simply good?

I will be amazed if M.O.M gets a Grammys nod but if it does, then the Grammys have gone the way of popularity over quality like the fashion industry has now as they use people like GH and, KJ and CD for Calvin Klein, simply because they have a large Twitter and Instagram following. He’ll win online awards but that’s because one person can and will vote hundreds of times.

I supported Zayn from the inception of 1D to the start of his solo career and, quite simply, I feel let down. Maybe his sophomore album will be better, but who knows…

And you don’t think they know that “there’s the One Direction fandom” who will do the work, the free advertising, the free promotion for them. I would like to see what percentage Simon and management spends on advertisement. Simon doesn’t need to advertise, management doesn’t need to advertise and the boys don’t need to advertise because the fandom is doing it for them. This is the only artist I know who isn’t out there constantly promoting themselves like other artists. 1D has had to do minimal promotion because the fandom has been doing it for them from the beginning. Just look at Taylor Swift, she is doing her own promotion right now for the Bad Blood video just as she has done from the beginning going around radio stations with cookies for six months instead of six weeks like the norm.This is what I said in my previous post. You are promoting 1D and you’re paying them too by buying their music and merchandise. So of course, the 1D fandom is the best in the world.

“what do you want to hear on album no. 5” this confirmed my suspicions of Simon/mgmt stirring the pot to see what is said, then cater songs for money. In addition to this, there’s a reason why the four boys haven’t publicly talked about Zayn and when asked are quick w/ the replies. It’s bc it’ll take the focus away from them since they need the fandom to talk only about them which will generate publicity and sales, being that they’ll be putting out an new album soon. People are reactionary first, logical second and this fandom has demonstrated this x and x again. And mgmt knew they could rely on it. Producers don’t have to rely solely on commercials to get their brand talked about anymore. Social media is now doing a lot of the work for them. *tweet tweet* 1D, a brand built by fans, is eventually going to end so naturally the next step is building each individual boy’s brand. And can we stop w/ the “how over worked the boys are and naive” narrative. You’re in denial if you don’t believe they know what they signed up for and aren’t enjoying the lifestyle they’ve become accustomed to, who wouldn’t. No one works for free. After five yrs they’ve also become savvy with their contracts and to think otherwise is idiotic.

Liam posts a video: instigator Naughty Boy: responds to instigator w/ a photo Louis: shades *instead of going @ (from the beginning) like he usually does* Naughty Boy: defends against shader *Louis and NB go back and forth* Zayn: defends NB is villain, why? Zayn is villain, why? Louis is hero, why? Liam goes unscathed, why? There is an imbalance here, it doesn't add up.

Three fingers are pointing right back at her! Sits there online being salty and shading ppl, especially towards Zayn and then when it is put back in her face she has the nerve to accuse OTHERS of being a bully! No, she is the bully, she is the one that is perpetuating meanest and hate and who only speaks about social issues when it fits her narrative, hypocrite. And she can deny it all she wants but she does steal other ppls tweets. She bullies ppl then denies it and then plays victim.

Just fucking BEAUTIFUL! So much love and respect for you Zayn. For taking that chance and walking away from a sure thing to give that unknown a try. For believing in yourself enough to push pass the faithless, the waivers, the haters to say, enough. What you did reminds me of what Taylor Swift did. She picked up that guitar, wrote songs, and got on stage after stage and sang. Your voice is meant to be heard, and it'll be heard again, soon. *whispers* I believe in you Zayn.

There is two sides to every story then there is the truth. No one, I repeat, NO ONE FUCKING KNOWS WHAT REALLY WENT DOWN TO MAKE ZAYN ABRUPTLY LEAVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OTRA TOUR ONLY ZAYN DOES !!!!!! Anyone shading on Zayn at this point never liked him to begin with.

So done with retweeting, favoriting and commenting on other peoples' tweets. I'm talking to myself already so why help promote others when they're dismissing me. We're always tagging about INCLUSION and demonizing EXCLUSION, it's nothing more then an at-the-moment "IT" bandwagon that everyone wants to jump on.
