Carlisle Must Hate Modern Healthcare
So basically being a doctor in the modern day must be VERY ANNOYING for Carlisle. Like back when he was sawing peoples legs off during the Civil War he could make crazy diagnoses with his vampire senses and people would trust him.
But now he has to order blood work, ekgs, and nebulizer treatments. And justify everything to the insurance with believable diagnoses.
He gotta be out here making Sherlock homes levels of deductions to explain how he knew the patient was about to have a heart attack because he can't say that he could smell their troponin levels rising
A very frazzled ICU attending: "Doctor why did you admit that patient to the ICU. Their chest pain is most likely just heartburn and their blood work isn't back yet."
Carlisles overpowered vampire ass that can't say he heard changes in the patients heart rythm and could smell enzyme changes in their blood: they just looked.....bad
