Honestly, half the characters’ problems in Manifest could be solved with a well-organised Discord server. Ben convinces every passenger to make a Discord account and join the invite-only Flight 828 Passenger server.

They could have channels for individual callings; when someone gets a calling, they make a new channel and whoever else shared the calling can join. Once the calling is solved, write up everything that happened in a detailed message for posterity and transparency, then make the channel read-only.

And of course there’d be a few permanent channels for general chatting, grief for their lost years, complaints about their situation, memes etc. TJ knows how Discord works so Ben puts him in charge of managing the server.

I want to see Saanvi sharing memes containing five-syllable medical terminology that no one understands but she thinks is hilarious.

I want to see Mikaela with her head in her hands because passengers won’t stop admitting to calling-related breaking and entering and other crimes they shouldn’t be confessing in the presence of an NYPD detective.

I want to see Eagan trolling people and Ben trying to use his mod powers to mute him but realising he can’t because Eagan is good at solving callings and they need him. Eagan knows this and pushes Ben’s limits.

I want to see Cal Rickrolling every single person in the server.

I want to see Adrian trying to recruit people for his church and Eagan creating a custom fly swat emoji to stop him in his tracks. Almost every time Adrian messages, he’s met with a hundred fly swat emojis, or something similar.

I want to see passengers promoting their businesses and bands, recommending random films and podcasts, having technical difficulties, treating the server like a dating app, and using the wrong channels to talk about irrelevant things.

Ben would lose his mind a bit but clear communication between the passengers could have made things go much smoother!

Rewatching the first episode of the 100, some stuff doesn't make sense but I don't care, here are my thoughts as someone who has watched the show before.

1. These were kids. Fuck the Ark. Float them all.

2. Kane was correct. Should've started killing people sooner, but also, they should've been upfront about it.

when i was younger, everyone around me praised me for being an 'easy' child to deal with, for the most part. i would make up my own games and play when the entire house was sleeping and keep quite in the corner unless one of the adults directly talked to me

i always just made up people on my own, read books and imagined those characters talking to me/playing with me when i was alone and everyone was sleeping

i would be so quite and i would make sure no one ever questioned what i did

it might have been lonely, i wouldn;t know.

even now, i have the habit of talking to walls and seeing people that arent there but it feels comforting to pretend.

sometimes i wish people were kinder, more compassionate so i could talk to them instead of these clouds of my imagination

i wish people felt my absence but i think i made extra sure they wont by being an 'easy' child and being a 'chill' friend and a 'quite' kid, i wish i talked to them about my problems instead

but then again, maybe escaping reality isnt the worst coping mechanism because my reality sucks and very childishly, i wish i could be 8 years old forever so i could be alone and comfortable in my own skin, without having to act a certain way to be 'normal'
