Ppl saying zutara is toxic have just never seen enemies to lovers. They live under a rock. The real toxic ship is kataang ,whenever something isn't going the way aang wants it to go he shouts at katara, and that's toxic ,not kids that were forced to be enemies. Also I hate how they basically made katara a tradwife in korra, she didn't even get a statue, and the original katara definitely would've wanted one... So kataang shipers whenever you say zutara's toxic look back on your own dear ship
Spicy scene from that amazing fanfic by shespitsfire
can you just imagine what might have happened if zuko and katara had one more minute, just sixty bountiful seconds, in the catacombs before aang and iroh reached them? theirs was the kind of conversation which, if it had been permitted to continue just moments longer, would have changed the entire course of the story.
Haven't you had enough of gojo satoru ?
Your daily reminder that Katara was just as important to Zuko's character arc as Aang was
Making them kiss like barbie dolls
It's kinda their thing
Katara romantically ending up with someone to whom she constantly has to act as sole parental figure (along with two out of three of their eventual children) and Zuko ending up (as far as we know, I can personally only hope that m/aiko is never canonically confirmed as his endgame relationship) with someone who’s cold and apathetic towards him AT BEST, cruel and callous at worst, is so genuinely depressing for both of their characters considering their respective childhoods and accompanying traumas. Bryke wrote two “romances” that would have been perfectly in place in a tragic, grimly realistic story about how childhood trauma, if left unaddressed, can negatively shape and impact all of the relationships in a person’s life going forward, and then tried to call it a happy ending.

I finally finished it...
I think I redid it like 4 times, and I still not satisfied with the end result, but to this point I'm tired,
maybe I'll redo it somewhere in the future, who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway here you go!

Honestly, I kind of want more hate mail as long as it keeps the ideas flowing, lol.
Okay here’s my attempt (forgive me if it’s lackluster akjsjshsjdhsj):
Um actually Zutara is a colonizer x colonized ship how dare you not ship Katara with her pseudo son-brother don’t you know putting her in a position of power over the nation that oppressed her people would be traumatizing for her and also Zukka is right there god you zutarians are so heteronormative
I’m sorry
He is a colonizer, alright.
Shirtless Zuko under the cut because I'm a human being and couldn't resist the temptation:
