I like the idea that the chain are at least a little careful about doing any weird timeline things when interacting with each other so it doesn’t impact the timeline, like Twilight not telling Time about the Hero’s shade, or Hyrule not telling Legend how the decline started just in case he tries to prevent it from happening in the first place. Tiny stuff that will only have a slight impact, if any? Sure, can’t be that bad. Stuff that could completely change people’s decision making process? Absolutely not, do not talk about it, banned from speaking for a week if you break the rule.

But I love the idea that the Chain will occasionally screw around with each other. Complete misinformation is spread around the group, and nobody knows what to think. Four will tell Wind about wars that never actually happened between countries that never existed. Twilight will mention something about a famous general (who he never met) just to make Warriors think that this legendary general once ate twelve frogs and a slug on a bet. Sky will make a joke about “the thirteen key peoples of Hyrule” and you’ll see the rest of the chain finger counting as slow horror dawns on their faces.

I love all of this, pls more of the Chain performing silly pranks on each other.

However to counter this

I give you Wild comes up with the craziest lies about the thousands of years between him and the rest of the Chain and it's like a game at this point to work out whether he's bullshitting them or not. Two Truths and a Lie ultimate edition

I also give you Sky being as politely doubting about everything he hears bc he's just as much of a target as Wild is. Time tries to convince him that the Kingdom of Hyrule has dance competitions against the Gorons bc that's how they work out diplomacy? Sure I GUESS??? Wind firmly 'believing' with his whole entire heart that the Mogma are prophecised to one day raise the old kingdom from the seabed totally bro I ain't shitting you, it's bc they dig, ya know? Why not, not like Sky can disprove that.

So, ultimately, he and Wild scheme their own lies together bc between Wild's poker face and Sky's petty streak, they've gotta get their own back somehow.

i made a homemade bug spray with a bunch of diluted essential oils of all the scents bugs hate and tested it out yesterday. i only got two mosquito bites which is huge for me because usually they swarm around me so densely that they could carry me away if they wanted to.

i also want to mention that it was raining off and on where i live yesterday and i was outside tending to my garden around the time they're most active.

i'm very excited about this because commercial bug sprays never ever work for me and i'm going camping in a week. i finally have something that works!

I'm aware that this was probably written before they'd ironed out minkowski's feelings on her own accent, but there is fascinating stuff to read into wrt the few times she imitates/mocks hilbert's accent in ep 15. the specific thing she says in shut up and listen is that being an american grade schooler with a polish accent made her a target, it made her "something weird, something alien," which is particularly loaded vocabulary in a scifi show. hilbert starts out their conversation in ep 15 by othering and dehumanizing hera, and when minkowski counters "she was a member of my crew," he asks whether he is still a member of her crew, which, in context, I think can also be taken as an implicit question of whether he's still human to her. so when she mimics his accent to insult him she's also kind of saying "you're different, you're alien, you're other," perhaps with a hidden parenthetical of "(you haven't tried as hard to assimilate as I have)".
