Gorgeously restored apt. in a 17th cent. building. 

Look at the ceiling in the entrance foyer.

There’s a little bench and place to hang coats in the hall.

Powder room in the hall.

Isn’t the living room/dining room beautiful? The floral fireplace is so pretty. 

In the hall, they left the original brick chimney and woodwork exposed.

The kitchen is small, but it’s so beautiful, and is fully equipped, and that makes up for it’s size.

There’s also a little pantry.

There’s a cozy little TV room outside the bedroom.

Double doors lead to the master bedroom.

The bedroom has a lovely en suite bath- that copper piping. 

Cute little laundry room.

The guest room and shower.

Such a beautiful apt. 

So dreamy.

Always fascinating to see how other cultures viewed Europeans, as we so often only see the opposite perspective.

Not sure who these people actually are, as there would not be an official British envoy to China until 1792; perhaps they were missionaries or merchants.
