Please help me and my family to pay rent and buy food
I hate to this and I cant believe I have to resort to this and I am so sorry but I need your help. The covid crises has hit me and my family hard and I pray there will be an end in sight but until that happens any money no matter how small that you can donate to help us keep a roof over our heads and buy food to eat would really help us.
If you yourself cannot donate anything can you please share this post with anyone you know who may be able to help out. My paypal is here
Update Unfortunately as I’m in Canada we dont have Cashapp or Venmo so that limits me more. I hope to keep sharing the post as Alberta is heading for a one month shutdown which means making the rent for next month will be extremely difficult..
Thank you for sharing and helping ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ !! $73/$880
Take care and stay safe!!!
there is not a single role chris pratt does that jack black couldn’t do better
someone explain the jewish holidays to me like i'm 5 years old
Purim: They tried to kill us, we survived. Let’s tell the story, wear silly costumes, and get wasted. (Optional: have a carnival or a play!)
Passover: They enslaved us, God freed us. Remember this via a big ceremony/feast and then don’t eat bread for a week. This is a big one; you’re going to have to clean your house and host all your relatives.
Tu B'Shevat: It’s Earth Day, let’s eat some fruit.
Simchas Torah: We read the entire Torah every year, and we got to the end! Let’s have a dance party and then start all over again!
Tisha B'Av: They destroyed our temples. That sucked.
Rosh HaShanah: Happy New Year! It’s time to ask (and grant) forgiveness for the wrongs done in the past year, pledge to do better, and wish for a sweet new year. And go to synagogue for HOURS.
Yom Kippur: Rosh HaShanah’s somber counterpart. God decides on this day your fate for the next year. Repent your sins, hope for forgiveness, and fast. (And go to synagogue for HOURS.)
Yom HaShoah: Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Sukkot: Harvest festival! Sleep in a hut under the stars.
Shemini Atzeret: Man, I don’t even know?
Shavuot: God gave us the Torah! That was pretty nice of him.
Chanukah: They busted up our temple and tried to forcibly convert us. We responded with guerilla warfare. Let’s eat some fried food. Candles!
So basically the entire Jewish holiday calendar is giving the middle finger to death and high-fiving, with or without various combinations of prayer and foods.
Yup. Or as we say, “They tried to kill us, we survived, let’s eat.”
thank you for the desc’s bcs they are beautiful and i am now educated
A handy table for everyone:
Y’all have no idea how happy it makes me to see my goyim followers reblogging this. Really. It means the world to me.
is goyim the jewish word for gentile?

STOP ICE FROM POISONING IMMIGRANTS!
Help stop the gassing of Immigrants!!
We need to do more than sign a petition. Don't shut up about this.
Hey, followers?
Don't scroll past this.
There are people in the notes saying this isn’t a gassing and it’s “just” a disinfectan0 being sprayed on surfaces to avoid covid, and people are “just” having allergic reactions to it
https://dandymeowth.tumblr.com/post/619934243092561920/your-url-is-problematic-odddior-i-know
That post explains better what this chemical is and what is going on.
“The guards are spraying this disinfectant in retaliation for the report [that revealed the deplorable health conditions in detention centers]. To be clear - HDQ is an industrial-strength disinfectant, which according to the manufacturer is “harmful if inhaled” and “causes severe skin burns and serious eye damage.” The guards are spraying it on everything every 15-30 minutes, according to sources, and immigrants in the center have already experienced severe symptoms including blisters, rashes, bleeding, fainting, breathing difficulties, headaches, stomach pain, and nausea. “
It’s not just allergic reactions. That’s a severe misunderstanding of what disinfectants do and a refusal to acknowledge how serious this is and WHY people are freaking out.
No, they’re not literally being gassed in the grandiose (gore-iose?) way you’d think of - being shoved into an iron chamber like animals that then is filled with gas that melts their skin... But they are still being forced to into small areas with harmful fumes and surfaces covered in chemicals that are made to eat living matter.
If you had to be in a room for days and weeks with bleach or peroxide all over everything, you don’t need to be allergic to start having severe reactions. Cleaning chemicals say to use protective gear and ventilate the area for a REASON.
This is really not okay. It wasn’t okay before, and now it’s worse than it was.
I work as a university custodian. This is the chemical we’re using to sanitize surfaces we’ve cleaned due to coronavirus. We’re not supposed to spray it directly on any surfaces. We spray it onto a cloth and then wipe surfaces with it. It’s supposed to dry before people come into contact with those surfaces. Once it dries on water fountains it’s rinsed off (I don’t know if it actually does anything to rinse it off when it’s already dried but that’s the procedure - we have to let it dry to make sure it’s had enough time to kill virus particles). That’s in university buildings with extra ventilation that are sanitized twice a day. This is horrifying.
please help save my cat
Hi my name is Gem and I’m a mentally ill gay enby who has been unemployed due to COVID-19. I have been unable to get in contact with the unemployment office and I haven’t had any luck getting a new job. I am officially broke and my cat Nimbus still needs a $1500 surgery to save his life.
What little money I had saved was spent on an emergency procedure to drain Nimbus’s bladder when his FLUTD caused a blockage.
The above procedure was only a temporary fix. Nimbus still experiences pain urinating and could have another blockage any day now. The surgery he needs would expand his urethra and effectively cure his FLUTD. I’m asking for donations to help pay for this surgery. I’m really ashamed about having to ask for help but I love my cat and its breaking my heart to watch him suffer.
venmo @gemblast
$70/1500
I’m still at only 4% of my goal and reblogs have died down on this post. I know times are hard for everybody but if a fraction of my followers could give me one dollar each I could afford this surgery. I know its a lot to ask but I’m desperate. I’m still looking for a job and if I do manage to get hired I’ll be adding money from my paychecks to Nimbus’s surgery fund. Please help me to help him.
$90/1500 Thank you so much to my donators! I am very grateful and I’m sure if Nimbus could understand the concept of money he would be too. I just got hired so it looks like I will be able to add to Nimbus’s surgery fund soon!
$110/1500
i got paid and a donation!! i’m still only at 7% of my goal still. pls help if u can
$125/1500
thank you donator!!
My addition finally hit my Venmo! I know its not much but that was all I could afford after buying Nimbus’s medical food and paying rent. Please, we still need help. We had a bit of a scare because he hasn’t been peeing for days but he finally used the litter box last night. He still needs this surgery. If you can’t donate reblogs help to get the word out. Thank you to all the kind hearts who have helped so far. You’re keeping me going.
Thank you donator! 😺💛
That smile at the end? Priceless...

I grew up with circus people. I wish I found this impressive. I really do wish I still found wonder in juggling. My husband juggles too. My mom juggles. Most people I know juggle. It loses its majesty when you’re trying to watch TV and these clowns out of makeup (literally) are tossing ingredients for dinner around like they’re the dwarves from The Hobbit. Can you pass the salt? No. They can only throw it. You want something, it gets thrown at you. And guess what, it doesn’t matter if you’re a decent contortionist and a great dancer, if you don’t have hand-eye coordination, sorry, you ruin the whole rhythm of the household. But they don’t let you just live. They don’t say oh that’s fine you can walk a tightrope and bend backwards while making a flower with your hands. No. It’s always ‘do your hand like this’ and ‘watch my hand’. Well, guess what Tommy, I have been doing my hand like that since I was three and i still have no chance of getting into clown college. I’m going to become a researcher mom. i’m leaving the circus to go work in a cubicle. now my mom doesn’t speak to me and my husband goes out to do his rollerskate juggling thing without me and that’s just fine. i like computers, mom. i like talking to people without trying to balance things on my face while i do it. and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Idk how we got here but I support you 100 fucking percent
‘Krakatoa, a 75-pound, 7.5-foot long Komodo Dragon, celebrates his eighth birthday with fellow eight-year-olds from R.B. Hunt Elementary School at his enclosure at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park in St. Augustine, Fla. The children sang Happy Birthday to the large lizard as he was presented with a meat cake topped with mice.’

Bored during quarantine. (via whatisdisalex)
I learned in a Latin Studies class (with a chill white dude professor) that when the Europeans first saw Aztec cities they were stunned by the grid. The Aztecs had city planning and that there was no rational lay out to European cities at the time. No organization.
When the Spanish first arrived in Tenochtitlan (now downtown mexico city) they thought they were dreaming. They had arrived from incredibly unsanitary medieval Europe to a city five times the size of that century’s london with a working sewage system, artificial “floating gardens” (chinampas), a grid system, and aqueducts providing fresh water. Which wasn’t even for drinking! Water from the aqueducts was used for washing and bathing- they preferred using nearby mountain springs for drinking. Hygiene was a huge part if their culture, most people bathed twice a day while the king bathed at least four times a day. Located on an island in the middle of a lake, they used advanced causeways to allow access to the mainland that could be cut off to let canoes through or to defend the city. The Spanish saw their buildings and towers and thought they were rising out of the water. The city was one of the most advanced societies at the time.
Anyone who thinks that Native Americans were the savages instead of the filthy, disease ridden colonizers who appeared on their land is a damn fool.
They’ve also recently discovered a lost Native American city in Kansas called Etzanoa It rivals the size of Cahokia, which was very large as well.
Makes me happy to see people learn about the culture of my country :D
Also, please remember that the idea of a nomadic or semi-nomadic culture being “less intelligent”, “less civilized” (and please unpack that word) was invented by people who wanted to make a graph where they were on the top.
Societies that functioned without 1) staying exclusively in one location or 2) having to make complicated, difficult-to-construct tools to go about their daily lives… were not somehow less valid than others.
This is why I fucking hate it when Europeans make jokes about how they have “more history” than the Americas. “This church is older than your country hahaha.” Actually, it’s older than the country you put there, massacring millions in the process, but go off, I guess.
And this is just the Aztec civilization the Mayans and Incas were also creating unique and mind boggling communities across South America as well as exchanging knowledge and resources with neighboring and even very distant tribes
All of that was... this year?
