I'm actually so OBSESSED with a fanfic idea where Sarada time-travelled to the Warring States period.
This takes place after the last battle between Tobirama and Izuna. Maybe from an outsider's POV. From Madara's, to be exact. Izuna is suffering from a mortal wound, and each day Madara can see the life seeping out of his brother's eyes. The Uchiha clan's healing prowess couldn't do anything, and Izuna would rather die than be healed by a Senju.
But then he remembers the rumours of a mysterious healer who is said to be able to bring back men from the edge of the dead, heal the blind and do what people have claimed to be miracles.
The people of the village have said she was an angel who had fallen down from heaven, from what they perceived from her foreign appearance. The locals had helped her when she was struck with sadness and grief as she lost the way to her home, the angel said. It's impossible for her to go back. They let her into their home with open arms and let her rest inside of their home, even though they are people without many means. A plague has hit their small village, and the majority of the youth have fallen sick, affecting their harvest, which causes an influx of food insecurity. Once the angel had gathered herself properly, she realised what the people had sacrificed for her. Filled with gratitude, the angel gave her blessing to aid them, healing the poor without any expectation for repayment.
When Madara first heard it, way before everything, he had chucked it into something of a folk myth. They're known to embellish stories, peasants who couldn't comprehend a shinobi life. But now, when all hope has vanished, he would do anything to save his brother. Even the glint of hope is enough for him.
Even as the majority of the clan advised against it, Madara made his journey to the home of the miracle while carring unconcious Izuna.
Skip to the point; they finally arrived. Madara's heart is aching as Izuna's state is worsening. But he's there in the gate of the village, and that's enough for him. But he was informed by the guard of something that is enough to make him crack. The healer doesn't partake in healing shinobi from a clan. She prefers not to be associated with any of them.
Madara's chakra is like a blazing fury. You can see the villagers panicking, as they might not understand what chakra is, but they certainly could feel it. And it felt like it was going to boil them alive.
She appeared before he could accidentally cause havoc in his grief-filled mind. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. There are some features that don't quite match a full-blooded Uchiha the way he is, but she is, without a doubt, an uchiha in all regards. It's in her posture, the way she is carrying herself. But he has never seen this woman ever before in his life. She takes a singular look at Izuna when he sees something in her falter.
She ordered the guard gently to let the two in. Madara was guided to what she refers to as the medical centre. Not once does his Sharingan ever leave the back of her head. He does not trust easily. Especially one who wears the face of his clan member but not one he could name.
Izuna was laid down in the sterile area. She swears to Madara that she is there to save his brother's life. She does not carry any ill intent towards the Uchiha, nor ever has. Madara, with great reluctance, agreed in the end.
When her hand shifts into green hues, he is absolutely stunned. An Uchiha, who has knowledge and is able to utilise the sacred jutsu of the Senju?
