#nope but I’ve come this 🤏 close multiple times #in order:#riding The Titan at 6 Flags when the centrifugal force from the large end spirals drained all the blood from my brain I guess #first time I saw my vision start to go gray at the edges but luckily the ride ended soon after #giving blood for the first time freshly 18 in my high school gym #thought people who passed out were just squeamish of blood and that it was a mind over matter thing #nope it was not #mere months later first year at college #marching band preseason learning all the fundamentals #the stadium is plastic turf surrounded by asphalt dug into a hill surrounded by bleachers that reflected every bit of sun #you know those ‘ovens’ you can make out of pizza boxes and foil? same principle #august heat never dips below 95F/35C which wouldn’t be too bad if not for HUMIDITY #y’all the humidity was always minimum of 85% which meant that 95F/35C FELT LIKE 120F/49C #and since the air is so saturated with humidity your sweat doesn’t evaporate (which is what cools you down)#so your are entirely enveloped in a second skin film of slime which makes you hotter which makes you sweat more which doesn’t evaporate #lather rinse repeat #anyway tangential science lesson aside my vision was graying my heart was rapid the inside of my throat felt cold?#I couldn’t stand up straight and eventually caved and wobbled over to sit on the meager shade with my head between my knees #finally when I donated plasma for the first time age 21 or 22 #Me: I’ve nearly passed out before giving blood will this happen giving plasma #Nurse: No don’t worry you won’t feel faint plasma is different #Me later with the seat tilted back and a temperature pack on my chest: YOU LIED #polls
