Hi There :) Don't mind me... I'm just sharing these beauties from breakfast this morning! My mum suggested I make overnight #buckwheat porridge instead of cooking it in the mornings, so I tried that but I am not convinced of the taste yet. I'll share the recipe when I play around with it a bit! Apart from that, I'm getting excited for the weekend!! My High Carb Breakfast

I am grateful today for having the opportunity to nourish my body every morning with a nutrient, healthy and delicious breakfast. This morning, I nourished my body with 3 wholegrain bread slices, which is a great source of complex carbohydrates (essential for energy and muscle function) topped with some avocado kale, spinach, and some hemp seed powder, as well as a dessert bread slice with coconut yogurt, some fruit such as strawberries, kiwis and bananas and a bit of chia seeds, flax seeds and a splash of lemon. 

What did you have for breakfast? And what is your favourite source of complex carbohydrates? 

PS: It is a great myth that carbohydrates should be avoided when losing weight. In fact, carbohydrates are essential for those trying to shed a few kilos. Without a sufficient amount of carbohydrates your body will not have any energy to shake and work those muscles. Doing exercise when the body is depleted of carbohydrates is like learning Chines while hungover. YES... it’s that bad. So get yourself a snack full of carbs and enjoy the rest of your day.

Yesterday, while in the process of preparing Colombia inspired dish (Coconut Rice) I found myself dancing away in the kitchen. I could not stop dancing, I was stirring my coconut and panela broth and using the wooden spoon as a prop danced like no body was watching (and nobody was.... I hope...). Dancing is so liberating, I found myself enjoying the food preparation process more, when I could relax, swing to some catchy Latin tunes and fully connect with my creative flow. So I actually wanted to know whether anyone else dances in the kitchen. Let me know if you do! And what are your favorite tunes for kitchen dancing?
