May i get a reading on Arcanine please? They're my favorite pokemon, and I'd love to know if they'd also make a good pet
I am sure that, unfortunately, this won’t be a huge surprise to most of you, but an arcanine would not make a great pet for quite a lot of owners. From their large size to their fiery abilities, this species simply isn;t a great option.
Just how big are these pokémon? Well, standing at over six feet tall and weighing an excess of three hundred and forty pounds, getting an arcanine around will be a pretty steep task for a majority of potential owners, and I’d wager that arcanines would have a pretty difficult time getting around inside of human homes, unless your home happens to be pretty ginormous. Of course, none of this is disqualifying on its own, as there are many pets who spend most of their time in outside environments. However, it doesn’t do them any favors in the algorithm when combined with just how dangerous these pokémon can be.
While arcanines have been respected and honored by humans throughout history for their charming demeanor, powerful grace, and commanding barks (Red/Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, LeafGreen, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver, Black/White, Black2/White2, X, Y, Sun, Let’s Go, Sword, Shield, BrilliantDiamond/ShiningPearl, Scarlet, Violet), there is very little information about their historical co-habitation with us. In some legends, arcanines are described as having fought alongside a human general and conquering an entire country (Ultra Sun), though details about this legend seem scant. Arcanines appear to be friendly enough, but there simply isn’t enough information to back a claim that they wouldn’t be aggressive towards humans in the wrong situation. And that would be very, very bad.
Like most Fire-Type pokémon, arcanines possess a barrage of moves that could easily prove fatal to humans both in their ability to harm your body and to harm structures around you. Moves like Flame Wheel, Fire Fang, Flare Blitz, and Flamethrower are certainly causes for concern. Considering this pokémon’s large size and formidable speed, with the capability of running as fast as over two hundred miles an hour (Ruby/Sapphire, Black2/White2, OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire, Sword), moves like Take Down, Play Rough, and Extreme Speed are also pretty alarming. Since we don’t have enough information to determine how likely an attack from an arcanine is, it is difficult to dismiss or mitigate the extreme risk that this pokémon can pose in the wrong situation.
Essentially, given their huge size and devastating, if majestic, martial abilities, an arcanine would simply not be a good choice for most owners. I would love to see more research into this Pokémon’s behavior in the future to allow for a more fleshed out analysis, but working with what we have I cannot recommend it. While still an imperfect option with a B rank, I would recommend considering a growlithe instead. Their smaller size and receptivity to training makes their fiery powers much less concerning.

humans should be able to do a special Ultra Sleep after major life accomplishments where you're just out for like 32 hours or something and then you wake up fully refreshed in every way

tumblr users love reading. you literally stopped for this post just because it has words in it
this is one of my favorite bits about tumblr
the users seem to actually prefer text posts to anything else, and treat it as a chore to play a video especially with sound
