Honestly the writing and humor in this game are so much better then persona 1 , the jump from playing an okay game to a great game is a small one but it makes a huge difference for the player experience.

I will say there is a few moments that I have to go “this is a 2011 remake of a game from 1999” because there is some transmisogyny moments. So far nothing that’s an important plot point - just small side things.

You get the the point in the story where the search a women’s restroom for a transmitter and one of the main guys gets chewed out by a cleaning lady and called a pervert and gets told something along the lines “no matter how much makeup you wear you won’t fool me” and the guy tries to explain he’s a rock star and he’s looking for bombs. Whole scene is played for laughs and I just stare at the screen going 😬😬😬. Certainly not the worst case in video games but still . It truely is everywhere huh
