ohhhh shit. target is recalling their up & up baby wipes (fragrance free & fresh cucumber scented) because they're contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli, multiple people are reporting discoloration & infections. i just got a call about it cuz i had purchased those but i've already gone through them 😅 so no refund for me. but im fine. if you have these they're saying you need to immediately stop using them and bring them back to target for a full refund. this bacteria can cause life threatening infections in children/infants and people with compromises immune systems (ESPECIALLY cystic fibrosis!!) and i know lots of other chronically ill people follow me!!!!

yk. it's Really jarring to wake up in my boyfriend's arms and get on this site to see pages and pages of people loudly hating trans men? because they think trans men don't deserve to talk about transphobia?

I'm transfeminine. my boyfriend is a trans man. we can just..... both talk about the transphobia we face? we can do both. there's a Lot of overlap!

- we've both been harassed for using public bathrooms

- we've both been excluded from friend groups for looking too masculine to be good nonthreatening queers

- we've both been fetishized for body parts we're dysphoric about

- we both worry about healthcare and explaining our genders to doctors who don't get it

like it's different in some ways! he's a man who has to see a gynecologist. I know it's more nuanced than this but I think having a hard policy of thinking anyone who genuinely hates one group of queer people for their identity might as well hate all of us and thus I should block any queerphobic queer person I see can do a lot to save you from believing anything exclusionists say.

my biggest word of advice to anyone scared to post their work/ocs/involve themselves in creative spaces online is to earnestly get interested in other people. be kind to others, like/reblog their work, tell them what you like about their work, get to know them as people.

this isn’t to “weasel” your way into anything or having ulterior motives or whatever. if you become friends with someone then that’s great! but there’s always something very personal about posting any kind of creative work. we’re all trying our best to connect with each other and the best way to get comfortable is to get to know others and show up as yourself. 🫶🏾
