This post is long, and I get that, but I need to say all of it. I needed to.

This is about Jim Michaels, the producer of Supernatural, and a frankly disturbing trend in his behaviour towards fans.

I was so relieved that Jim Michaels did not come to Vancon this year, but he has still been invited to other cons, & continues to be a public figure, so, yeah, this is something that needs to be said, & the information needs to get out.

Jim Michaels is the producer of Supernatural. He’s friendly & charismatic, & likeable in many ways. He acts fun & cool to fans, he’s hip on what’s happening in fandom, etc.

He’s also, it seems, sexually assaulted at least one minor, and demonstrated a pattern of predatory behaviour.
