every major structural social problem right now is basically "we don't have enough skilled workers on the ground" and the reason is always "well we've been intentionally underpaying and understaffng them for decades to increase corporate profits" and somehow the news always just mentions the "shortage" without digging into the cause

I have a gofundme for my top surgery now!

I got an update from my surgeon today. I have tried everything- my insurance denied me so i asked if i could have a long-term payment plan. they will not let me set up a payment plan like that because my surgery is “cosmetic”. i don’t know what else to do at this point.

It feels really upsetting to me that i feel like i’ve been forced into a situation where my only option is to cry and beg everyone. My transition should not be traumatizing. My transition shouldn’t be an uphill battle. I should not end every appointment, checkup, and visit feeling less certain about my future.

Enough venting. or well, i guess that all is just context.

You can donate to my gofundme down below. every dollar will go to the surgery itself, or my care and recovery afterwards. My surgery is in about 6 months, I would appreciate if i could get as much help as possible.

the first time this went round people were scared and talked about using friends and family etc. for commissions instead, don’t do that! That will get your PayPal account banned, use an invoice. Do not talk about nsfw. But it is perfectly only to refer to a commission as a commission on an invoice

this one kinda hurts when i see it every pride month. im glad to see an art piece of mine still circulating, and with nearly 100,000 notes too! it just hurts that im separated from it. everyone in the notes thinks im gone. im still here, but my potential community and connection is lost because im forgotten in place of the art. yeah, my deactivated profile does add to the profoundness of what i was saying, but i am still removed.
