people equating elio's character to the peach scene is so odd to me, like, he had many great scenes, he is a faceted character, and i will never understand why you'd portray a character as inherently sexual, especially when that sexuality is directly linked to his youth and uncertainty being taken advantage of and him being a victim of statuary rape by his father's assistantāan authority figure, might i add. to me, elio is striped t-shirts, playing the piano, driving the bike 'round town and storytimes with his parents. i don't see how he could be seen as a sexual object, or as characterised only through sexuality, by any viewer, if that viewer is able to critically interact with the media they're consuming.
i watched Luca in my Italian class over the past two weeks and while i've seen a bunch of people call out how it's queerbaiting, or at least heavily queer-coded, i was shocked not to see a single person point out that disney still hasn't moved on from blatantly racist caricature in their villains. i mean, an unfairly rich guy with a super prominent aquiline nose, are we serious?? (and, yes, i'm aware that it's not uncommon for italians to have that nose type, but the fact it's only represented in the 'evil' character would be a very odd coincidence, especially looking at other disney villains' designs) the fact we are still selling these harmful stereotypes to children disgusts me, and the ignorance to how character design impacts bias in children is just baffling to me.

What happened is that half of the sbk cast, Cleo, Sausage, Musithical and Avid's skin and art people just all revealed that they were a master manipulator who lied to multiple mcyt in order to isolate them. Who joined POW in order to destroy it (According to Cleo), made up lies about more popular mcyter to isolate the sbk cast from the rest of mcyt (According to Legs and Doovid) and according to Nukari gaslighted and manipulated people and then used relatable struggles such as being LGBTQ creators to avoid scrutiny.
I personally remember them having that break up with Scott and then Scott Drift Shelby and Cam being removed from sbk. Which fits exactly with the "made up lies about bigger youtubers to isolate the sbk players".
Then at vidcon all this youtuber started talking and those lies fell apart, screenshot were shared of Avid shit talking the other sbk players behind their backs to eachother and the truth was found out. Then Avid and Marm panicked and tried to run off the platform to escape the consequences which is why they quit.
Cleo basically said they were asses and that they quit in a "you can't fire me I quit" kinda way and that she's glad they are gone forever. In much the same way others have said that them using stress as an excuse is what they would use to lie and manipulate.
Water also said she's not going to be the same for a long time.
Cleo also said that they saw screenshot of Avid talking about how much he wished death on her friends and fellow cc's.
Thank you so much for this, I'm glad this has come to light and I'm Devastated to see Avidmc, one of my favorite content creators, to be revealed as such a bad person but I'm glad they'll no longer be a part of the MCYT community.
