MICRODIA PRODUCT SHOWCASE
The World’s First USB-C to Lightning Cable Released by MICRODIA
Hong Kong, 22 May 2015 – MICRODIA Ltd (MICRODIA), a world leader in flash memory technologies, showcases its state-of-art data and comprehensive storage solutions at the COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2015 trade show, 2 - 6 June 2015 at Booth #N1214.
Latest SD4.0 SDXC 512GB Flash Memory Cards The XTRA ELITE™SD4.0 Flash Memory Card is 30 times faster than current flash memory cards. With an additional row of pins (a signature feature of SD4.0), it is capable of a read/write speed up to a blazing 300MBps.
Professional photographers and videographers can simultaneously capture and load images and footage at phenomenal speeds. The card handles 4K- and 5K-resolution videos and images with equal aplomb. Up to 6,656 RAW images (at 22MP) or 1,920 hours of MPEG-4 videos at 30fps can be stored on a 512GB SDXC flash memory card.
World’s First SD4.0 Card Reader with a USB3.0 Connector The FlashMover™ SD4.0 Card Reader is the world’s first SD4.0 card reader with a USB3.0 connector. Being fully compatible with the SD4.0 specification, it serves as the best companion of the XTRA ELITE™ SD4.0 Flash Memory Card. Taking full advantage of the SD4.0 specification, the read/write speeds of the FlashMover™ blaze through to highest of 312MBps. Colossal 4K-resolution videos and high-definition images can be transferred in seconds. MICRODIA’s proprietary technology, EPM (Enhanced Processing Management) and the SD4.0 specification provide a leading edge to those who require ultra high speed, efficiency and effectiveness.
OTG USB Type-C Card Reader MICRODIA showcases its new Micro USB Type-C OTG Card Reader. It is a card reader incorporating the new USB standard for its micro USB connector. Reversible connectors eliminate the need to verify if the user is plugging in the micro USB connector the right-way up. The OTG FDR can read microSDXC cards up to 512GB and is able to transfer data at up to 10Gbps.
At one end, the USB-C features the current standard USB interface but adds a twist. There is a microSD card slot above the USB port enabling the user to employ the card reader function of this tiny OTG product. With the microSD permanently left in the slot, the USB-C becomes a flash drive. The opposite end, incorporates the new USB Type-C standard which fits into the port of the new MacBook 2015, the Chromebook Pixel 2 and the upcoming Dell Venue 11 Pro.
OTG Lightning USB Flash Drive with Data Encryption MICRODIA’s new Lightning adapter is especially built to provide dual security for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+. During upload or download of data via the Lightning Adapter, it will scramble data using 256-bit encryption and render the folder contents invisible. The Lightning Adapter provides further data protection, attributable to the absence of any login system on the hardware. In other words, even if the adapter itself is lost, user data remains safe against unauthorised access. All that the unauthorised users will be able to see is a blank folder, as all content will remain invisible.
The Lightning Adapter can also be used as a normal USB flash drive. A switch on the adapter toggles the Adapter between secure data upload and flash memory device. Flash memory capacity is available from 64GB to 256GB.

MICRODIA Unleashes World’s First Micro USB Type-C OTG Flash Drive & Reader
USA, January 8,2015 – MICRODIA Semiconductor Ltd. (MICRODIA) today announced the immediate availability of its new Micro USB Type-C OTG Flash Drive & Reader (FDR). It is a combination card reader and USB flash drive incorporating the new USB standard for its micro USB connector. Reversible connectors eliminate the need to verify if the user is plugging in the micro USB connector the right-way up. Consequently, the OTG FDR is truly plug ’n’ play.
The USB Type-C standard is from the USB-IF and was finalised during the latter half of 2014. It will be implemented as the new standard in Europe in mid-2015 for all mobile devices, including next generation Android smart phones.
The OTG FDR can read microSDXC cards up to 512GB and is able to transfer data at up to 10Gbps. For users, this means uploading and downloading huge data is possible in seconds rather than minutes*.
“This is a new standard from the USB-IF and a valuable investment that will pay dividends,” said Louis Leung, CEO of MICRODIA Ltd. “USB Type-C will unify all USB connectors and ports and render many devices compatible, therefore reducing the number of extra leads and adapters. As such, we expect market demand for USB Type-C-enabled OTG devices to explode.”

MICRODIA Launches World’s First Tiny OTG Card Reader with Cable-less Charging Function
Expandable, travel-friendly and flexible, the world’s first and only Tiny OTG Card Reader with Charging Function provides a cross-platform data storage and transfer solution
USA, January 8, 2015 – MICRODIA Semiconductor Ltd. (MICRODIA) launched its Micro-Flash OTG Reader with a cable-less charging function. The OTG Reader enables users to not only plug it in and use it to charge their mobile or smart device, but also to use it as a USB flash drive, a card reader or an OTG data transfer device. As a plug’n’ play device, users can expect to immediately use the OTG Reader with a USB-enabled host device. Utlra-slim casing and a mini-lanyard provide the user with a convenient, tiny form factor that caters to work, creative pursuits and travel.
Employed as a Charger
Flicking the switch to the cable symbol turns the OTG Reader into a card reader into a carrier of electrical current. The user can then charge their mobile or smart device via a standard USB port. MICRODIA Lightning Adapter with Invisible-Files Security Feature
MICRODIA’s new Lightning adapter features dual security. Used when uploading to the Cloud, the Lightning adapter will scramble data and will render the folder contents invisible. The only access is through the Lightning adapter with the correct user name and password. Convenient data protection whenever and wherever needed.
USA, December 8, 2014 – MICRODIA Ltd. (MICRODIA) announced its latest innovative product, the Gate Keeper Lighting Adapter, which will be launched and available to test at CES 2015, Las Vegas, at Booth 70864. The Gate Keeper is especially built for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+. It keeps user data secure on the Cloud using 256-bit encryption. When the user uploads their data to the Cloud, the Gate Keeper not only ensures the data is unreadable to an unauthorised user, it also renders the folder’s contents invisible to unauthorised access.
And should the user misplace the adapter itself, an unauthorised user cannot access the adapter’s decryption capabilities without the correct user name and password, thus the Gate Keeper becomes into an ordinary USB flash drive with limited space. There is also no software for an unauthorised user to hack, hence no password to crack. To access the encrypted and invisible uploaded Cloud data, the authorised user only needs use another Gate Keeper, enter their user name and password and their personal data becomes retrievable. This makes the Gate Keeper doubly secure.
The Gate Keeper can also be used as a normal USB flash drive. A switch on the adapter toggles the Gate Keeper between secure data upload and flash memory device. Flash memory capacity is available from 64GB to 256GB.
“Personal data security is a paramount concern in the digital age,” said Louis Leung, CEO of MICRODIA Ltd. “There are a plethora of invidious entities that purloin data. To counter such maliciousness, we’ve developed the Gate Keeper to protect personal data. We’re delighted to be able to provide users with peace of mind.”
