While everyone argues about what is or isn't "a distraction" this date keeps creeping closer. Considering the patterns of AI mass surveillance and data sharing, this would basically be Flock level shit, but in your car. With the goverment (or random algorithms) able to shut down your transportation at will.
This needs to be one of the top five issues in the country until it's removed. And you can't just say "I'll just keep my old car", because the authoritarians play the long game. How are we gonna protect ourselves from this long term? Our kids, younger siblings, what about their first cars? What about every cab, Uber, or shuttle service having mandatory surveillance built into it?
This MUST be repealed.
