i saw that people were having problems with the new black cat d.va skin, claiming that using the term “lolita” to describe it always has negative connotations or that the skin itself is fetish fuel or predatory in nature or making d.va out to be a typical fanservice caricature for the male gaze…those people are wrong.♡
It is perfect!
#LGBTQ
I don’t think it’s proper. You can’t spread equality with a closed fist.
You sound mad fucking stupid man shut the hell up
I think this creates a separation in the LGTB community. Why not just have one flag for everyone?
There are literal hundreds of LGBT flag variations to upfift said Race/Religion/Country
Even ones for the specific areas in the LGBT community
How the fuck is this any different? Why is it everytime black people come up with something for themselves y'all have to come out with this show your entire asses with this “"segregation” shit.
Suck on my entire dick
Also, if you’re in this thread and have never made nor reblogged a post about the way POC, especially Black people are treated in the LGBTQ community then motherfuck you. We wouldn’t feel the need to remind you that we’re here, if you didn’t treat us like we weren’t.

Remember, this is just a list of dictionary definitions and a few peoples view on it. Don’t let that stop you from using any of the terms in your own context!
This is a great list for anyone who might be searching for a label. Don’t be upset if none of these terms fit you, though. It’s 100% okay to use an obscure or uncommon label to describe yourself, or to not label yourself at all. -Madeline
For our many followers who ask about what labels might fit them! Here’s a very helpful and extensive list to get you started. This isn’t all of them, of course so don’t get discouraged if none of them fit you 100%.

ya’ll this cool new site lets you know if a certain movie or TV show has any affiliation with anyone who was accused of sexual assault. this is important for those of us who are passionate about not supporting work that associates itself with sexual abusers, for the sake of the victims.
we’re safe y’all
"Our short-term goals are to get folks home for the holidays"
The function of the app is simple: In less than 60 seconds, connect the account you use to make everyday purchases. Here, your purchases will be rounded up to the nearest dollar to automatically donate each time you reach at least $2 in spare change. Users can pause and resume their contributions at any time. On the topic of his goals with the project, Ziegler explains:
“Our short term goals are to get as many folks home for the holidays as possible so we hope many folks join the platform for Giving Tuesday and contribute their holiday spending change to those in need.
Long term, we see the platform being used in a variety of ways to bolster the voices of those in need beyond just a financial contribution.”

Gentrification creates a stifling homogeneity in urban areas that makes it less suited for the everyday lives of the lower class and more suited towards the leisure and tourism of those with expendable income.
An old, decrepit laundromat gets replaced by an upscale bakery? And people are mad? It’s not that the poor hate organic vegan cupcakes, it’s that most of us don’t have a way to do laundry in our own home.
Run-down corner stores replaced by hand-made designer clothing boutiques? We don’t hate your eco-fabric shawl, but I can’t eat that for dinner after work like I could have a can of beans I grabbed from that corner store when I don’t have time to take the bus to the real grocery store after work.
What gentrification brings in and of itself is not typically bad, it’s that gentrification brings institutions of leisure and pleasure and makes it so that the poor have to go farther out of their way for basic necessities. It turns low-income living spaces into local tourist attractions. It can even create food deserts by putting restaurants, grocery stores, etc. in that the majority of the lower class cannot afford.
Imagine if someone totally renovated your house and turned it into a mini theme park - they took away your sleeping space, where you prepare food, where you clean yourself and get ready for your day, and replaced it with things that will please people who are visiting, who have their own homes they can go back to, who are here not for their entire life but just as a distraction from their otherwise mundane existence. It’s not that you hate theme parks, it’s not like you’ve never been to a theme park and vow to never visit one again. It’s just that you need to live! To survive! And the leisure of those who have more than you should not invalidate your existence.
I am glad this has made the rounds. Some people feel a dense misunderstanding or misinterpretation concerning gentrification, and I think it helps to hear a description/explanation of what gentrification is from those who are both affected by it and educated by the culture from which it hails. I and many others enjoy some of the delights of gentrification while simultaneously having their livelihoods threatened by it.
College Freshman Stabbed to Death After Seeing Three Young Women Being Groped and Stepping in to Help
With final exams on the horizon, Donnell Marcus Phelps was all set to finish his freshman year at Fort Valley State University in Georgia.
The 19-year-old from Marshallville had been studying agricultural engineering technology but also found time to manage the university’s tennis team.
And help those in need.
Late Tuesday afternoon he witnessed a man harassing three young ladies. The man was touching these girls in a very inappropriate way, so he decided to step in. However, he was forced to bring fists to a knife fight.
An autopsy showed Phelps was stabbed four times in the upper torso with a pocket knife with a 3.5-inch blade.
“Words cannot describe the pain that we all feel in the Fort Valley State community,” university President Paul Jones said at news conference, offering condolences to Phelps’ family, friends, students and the entire community.
Johnson described Phelps as selfless: “He always gave us hugs, and he’d always check up on us,” she added to the Telegraph.
Donnell Phelps died a hero. His Mom did an incredible job raising an amazing person. God bless this young man for his sacrificial act of bravery. His life matters.
RIP Donnell Phelps.

Only 19 years old and died protecting women in a day and age when people will literally be bystanders & shut an eye to someone else being harmed. Beyond brave and this is so heart breaking.
Sage advice. See more highlights from Drake’s superb SNL.
A great reminder for students that whatever happens in your college-age years will not define the rest of your life. If you know what you want to do with your life, keep working toward it. If you don’t, you can eventually find your path, even if it takes some time.
“We want to be accepted just the way we are.“
These black women react to protests over natural hair in South Africa.
Black people in SOUTH AFRICA. Fighting to be black in SOUTH AFRICA like white people what’s your problem fr fr?
This is a good explanation of the “natural hair movement” and why it doesn’t really make sense for non-black people to say they’re apart of it
Embarrassed this happens in my country. Growing up in SA, the majority was oppressed by a minority, the whites.
today, i wondered why i was really here. i didnt think, "Oh God made me for a reason. I should be here for a reason." but i honestly didnt feel like I had a reason. yeah, maybe im young, i dont know alot. but as soon as im called "worthless" or even a "waste," i began to think, "is living even worth it? why am i even here if i just spend time and waste it by making everyone, especially me, worthless? what am i doing here? why? what am i really doing here." at times i feel that i do not belong here. i dont know why im breathing. i dont know why im here wasting mine & everyone else's time. i dont. i dont know why im here
there isn't a day where i dont make mistakes. recently, i made another mistake due to my irresponsible self & it costed me big time. im currently down in the dump thinking about why im like, why i keep doing this, why im such a failure, and how i could just end all of this with a simple jump off an edge. but i tell myself that this is what makes me human. mistakes do not define me. a have more days to redeem myself. this is only a mistake. this is only a bad day. maybe a bad week. but this is not a bad life. this is merely another hump i must get over to learn another lesson or this change in life.
so i recently have made a playlist in dedication of my favorite pairing from a new and popular drama: it's about a cold prince during a certain dynasty whose life was not recognized by his own mother. he then meets a woman who had "died" or goes back in time from her life from the modern era. as she tries to familiarize herself into a new setting, several princes fall for her but the one who is impacted most is the cold prince. as the story progresses, she is able to open his heart to her and they then fall in love. when i listen to it, it reminds me how powerful and amazing love can be. it makes me wonder if i'll find that someone special who can probably change some things i dont find comfortable in my life. then again, it's nice being single. but then again AGAIN, it'd be nice to share a life with someone special.
Watch: The most wonderful moment of joy came when he entered a Nazi guard bungalow.
We are the last generation who can hear from these survivors directly. Do not take that lightly. Do not waste that opportunity. Do not forget your freedom isn’t infinitely guarenteed. And do not, do not, let it happen again.
Really truly, watch the video, reblog it. Teaching about the holocaust is so necessary for our generation before it slips under the rug and people forget about it.
so my university sends emails to its students about suspicious activities/crimes that happen on campus and i almost get one or two emails every single day.
when i think about it, it’s just really sad. people are greedy. they people would go to such lengths for materialistic objects. maybe because im speaking in a perspective from a person who already has what she needs to survive, compared to those who do bad deeds because they’re doing what they need to prevent themselves from being on the brink of dying.
sometimes i feel like if you just don’t do these bad things, then everything would be peaceful. no robbing. no damaging property. no shootings. i wish morality would exist in everyone-- unfortunately it doesnt work that way.
okay, reminder, this is just a tiny, small, very very microscopic bump. these things take time, and you can always, always, always overcome it. maybe not now, but soon enough. take it slow.
