The Meeting of Women of Latin America and the Caribbean was inaugurated this Friday in Buenos Aires, Argentina .

Three years after the last meeting, revolutionary, anti-fascist, and anti-imperialist forces from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Honduras, Chile, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Argentina are gathering to strengthen the organization and struggle of proletarian women and the entire working class worldwide.

Our party, the Popular Revolutionary Front (FPR), the Union of Revolutionary Youth of Mexico, and other social and labor organizations from across the country are present.

During Operation Condor, the fascist Junta dictatorships across Latin America coordinated their operations to target Marxist-Leninist women leaders as the "weak link" in the Communist movement. That women by our nature, whatever our rank in the organization have no core beliefs and can easily be remade. These machismo chauvinists thought women were easier to break. From these dark times we unified our proletarian feminist organizations across the continent to meet the challenge. Targeted in every country, we came together in proletarian internationalism to struggle back everywhere!
