I am so over the moon with how these turned out (Look at Shadow's intense glare LMAO Look at Sonic's gulp LOL) I love how these turned out, thank you so much for the incredible art once again and for all the patience with me to perfect the vision, you went above and beyond <3 ;w;

Things I don't draw:

NSFW, heavy gore (bc idk how to even draw blood, but will do a bit gore once i learned), political topics, rude/offensive topics.

Something for funnies because i wanted a consistent visual for them.... and the timeline can get a little convoluted... So, a break down: Pre-Timeline Divergence: the timeline progress as usual in the au. Mercer (Metal Sonic) escapes Robotnik, crashes Sterling's (Silver's) home and so and so forth. There is little to no divergence between branching timelines. Timeline "A": After transforming into Neo and holding the upper Stratas and Sterling hostage, they transform into the abomination that is their Overlord form (see "doomed timeline sonic au" tag for more). Mercer comes to amidst the rampage, and flees to the irradiated wastelands as an attempt to stop any more harm from coming to Sterling. Mercer does not survive the de-transformation, losing too much trypan and becoming scrapped for parts by scavengers. To prevent the vicious cycle from beginning anew, Mercer activates a killswitch to corrupt their memory and personal data. Sterling is too late. Sterling learns to time travel, grappling with the grief of losing Mercer, and jumps back far enough before Sonic's supposed death date. Discovers Metal Sonic operating, and convinces them to kill Robotnik overtime. Sterling creates Metal a body very similar to Mercer, but cannot recall them in full because of the time displacement and too much time has passed since he last saw them. It doesn't help soothe Sterling, learning that they act different than Mercer did. Sterling cannot return to his own time, since Eggman's death essentially destroyed his original timeline. Sterling jumps a few hundred years into the future to avoid colliding with this timeline's Silver and..... .... Metal is still alive? (Our fankid, Lupine, is also born in this timeline!) Timeline "B": Mercer survives the de-transformation, barely operating and fed trypan into their systems before a complete crash can occur. There are many remnants of Neo left on their body, and of their transgressions. They feel great shame in knowing that they almost killed Sterling. They often question if they were even the android Sterling had come to love before the Strata's collapse. Much more emotionally unstable and vulnerable.

Also, thank you to @vadedoesart for helping me make some extra design choices, and for being the Sterling to my Mercer SOBS. They make me rot about this au we have made a monster of so often LSKJSKLDJFL
