@monroejigsaw
i would like to officially thank sesame for its seeds, its oil, and of course its street
i think this captures the defining pathology of the collective social media psyche right now. we are in the thrall of people who are wantonly cruel but who also demand to be coddled at all times in every way
I want to learn more exclamations that aren’t strictly just religious stuff. “Jesus Christ” this, “oh my god” that, nah I want something fresh.
What are some of y’all’s favorite exclamations that aren’t about god?
first submission and we're already off to a fantastic start. absolutely love this one thank you
ok its time for the challenge round now we want nominations that arent about sex either actually
had a friend who used to make new ones up on the spot. The only one that stuck with me was 'good golly jelly beans'. If something catastrophic happens I go for 'that's not ideal.'
@chekhovs-tantrum
Absolutely not letting you leave these in the tags.
One of the best letters I’ve ever seen just popped up on my Facebook memories. Still makes me laugh.
As today is the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, it’s a great time to revisit Dinah from Devon’s memory of this historic event. And yes, still makes me laugh.
Today is the 54th anniversary of the moon landing, but Dinah’s diary entry is still absolutely magnificent.
57th anniversary of the moon landing and the best diary entry in the history of diary entries. Sit down Samuel Pepys, it’s over. UGH.
So the thing is boobs really do be jiggling. If having breasts has taught me anything it is that the ladies frolic. I don't even have that large of boobs but every time I go down some stairs all I can think about is that stupid quote about boobing breastily down the stairs or whatever it is because God Damn.
But anime and video game boob jiggling is like. The most uncanny valley shit I've ever seen nine times out of ten. You would think people this horny about tits would have actually looked at some but I guess not.
What we really need is some pervert to compile the ultimate visual guide to boob bouncing physics that's just like 500 hours of meticulously organized videos of breasts of different size and shape and under different fabrics bouncing around from a wide variety of physical movements so horny game devs can finally get it right and I don't have to be creeped out by women who appear to have surgically implanted softballs in their chest under skin made of rubber bands.
About a quarter of the way through this Lego apothecary build and loving it, especially this swinging book case and hidden magical artefacts.
And a frog. Not sure if pet, familiar, transformed prisoner, or just frog.
I know I’m an adult but I do love when Lego sets include little side stories in their builds like this. It really does leave you wanting to play with it regardless of your age.
SAAAAAAAME
I want there to be little buddies
and critters
Finally finished building the Lego apothecary shop and it is a thing of beauty. I wish I had the camera and the lighting to properly shop off the completed build. It feels like a properly stocked shop but with still enough rooms for minifig to be placed in and move around in. I love this build so much, I might actually invest in some custom printed bottles and signs. Heck, might even see what the options for lighting this up with led lights are like.
Also, if you know your LEGO history, you might notice that there is a micro-build of the LEGO blacksmith shop, which seems to have heavily inspired the design for this set.
Oh, so tempting...
As a completely impartial and unbiased individual, I say give in to those temptations!
For real though, it's a very fun set and would go great with castle or fantasy builds. The only real downside is that its a bricklink set, which means its not available for purchase like a mainline lego sets, and thus only available now through the resellers. The instructions are available for free download, so if you don't feel like dealing with secondhand seller, you can always use those as a guide for your own build.
And if you're limited for space, some has created a microbuild of this set too
I almost forgot the best minifig of the set!
Ghost!
They’re also the classic glow in the dark kind that used to come with really early Lego sets and will occasionally give me a surprise when walking into the room with the lights off
Also I’m absolutely enamoured with this barbarian coded minifig with their funky axe, fur collar, and mohawk to the point we’ll happily overlook look their coat having a zipper in a very medieval/fantasy themed set :P
FUNKY BARBARIAN LESBIAN!
And ahhhhhhh I love glow in the dark Lego ghosties!
they are fun an spooky :D
Glow in the dark ghost now with glow, along with appropriately themed book cover…which also glows.
I swear I did not plan this, they just happen to be sitting on my book pile
<3 The ghostie wants u to read to them! <3

It's nice to see you again, Iron Lord

i accidentally clicked onto and off of the "explore" page very quickly, and in the second or so that the explore page was onscreen i saw a beautiful photoshopped image that may infact be nothing like how i saw it due to the speed at which it appeared and disappeared.... but still. what i saw was beautiful
it looked like this
dw i got u i am obsessed.with this image
OGH MY GOD. YES THANK YOU THATS HIM
I'd like to give you three quotes from Eris Morn, my favorite character from Destiny 2, which feel very hopepunk:
"We must remember the value of unshakable, irrational hope. The choice to act as if we lived in a better world can create a place for that better world to exist."
"Trauma is an unrelenting beast. It never quite leaves our side. But that doesn't mean we owe it a damn thing."
"Recovery is a spiral, not a circle. You may return to the same patterns, but you will break free."
Ohh, that first one reminds me of something I wrote for this blog a while back. The idea that hope is necessary because it motivates the work towards a better world.
