Since I'm going to be a part of R4W's Vampires series, and also the DenSMP, I guess this means technically I'm gonna be a content creator! Which is super wild!! So I guess I should update my pinned accordingly?
Hello! You can call me Medea! I'm 26, my pronouns are it/hyr/maw, and I'm an artist, writer, storyteller, and Minecraft content creator! You might know me as The Fox from the Messengers of Oakhurst in the VSMP community event/the DenSMP, a member of the Yuri Avengers, or even North Gardener from R4W's SorrowsSMP!
My content is not PG! I swear a LOT and I make some jokes not suitable for young children!!
You can find more about me here -> https://monstermedea.straw.page/
BOUNDARIES (under the cut)
Disclaimer: I know how the internet works, I know how fandoms work, I have been on tumblr longer than some of you have been alive. People will make plenty of content that violates these boundaries, that's fine, I just do NOT want to see it. Do not show it to me, do not link it to me, do not tell me about it. Most of the people who make that stuff go out of their way to make sure the creators don't see it, do not bring it to my attention. As long as they're doing their due diligence I couldn't care less. Do not harass them, I stg!
Very cool: SFW fan art/fan fics, memes, fan theories, shipping (as long as the other cc & character are adults), angst, gore, edits
I don't wanna see it: RPF (I'm engaged and have two life partners), NSFW fan art/fanfics, anything involving non-con, shipping me or my OCs with a minor or a minor's OCs
CC Boundaries: Please do not DM me if we are not mutuals, do not add me on discord, and do not seek out my other accounts. No using my voice, art, or writing for AI slop!!! I'm always down to answer polite questions/reply to asks, etc. But please remember we do not know each other and are not friends
not every mutual fits neatly into an archetypal medievalism but there are some mutuals that im like yeah addressing you as “my liege” would come strangely naturally
Gentrification creates a stifling homogeneity in urban areas that makes it less suited for the everyday lives of the lower class and more suited towards the leisure and tourism of those with expendable income.
An old, decrepit laundromat gets replaced by an upscale bakery? And people are mad? It’s not that the poor hate organic vegan cupcakes, it’s that most of us don’t have a way to do laundry in our own home.
Run-down corner stores replaced by hand-made designer clothing boutiques? We don’t hate your eco-fabric shawl, but I can’t eat that for dinner after work like I could have a can of beans I grabbed from that corner store when I don’t have time to take the bus to the real grocery store after work.
What gentrification brings in and of itself is not typically bad, it’s that gentrification brings institutions of leisure and pleasure and makes it so that the poor have to go farther out of their way for basic necessities. It turns low-income living spaces into local tourist attractions. It can even create food deserts by putting restaurants, grocery stores, etc. in that the majority of the lower class cannot afford.
Imagine if someone totally renovated your house and turned it into a mini theme park - they took away your sleeping space, where you prepare food, where you clean yourself and get ready for your day, and replaced it with things that will please people who are visiting, who have their own homes they can go back to, who are here not for their entire life but just as a distraction from their otherwise mundane existence. It’s not that you hate theme parks, it’s not like you’ve never been to a theme park and vow to never visit one again. It’s just that you need to live! To survive! And the leisure of those who have more than you should not invalidate your existence.
this is a really great explanation of some of the secondary effects of gentrification and how and why they compound the primary effect. but i have to point out that the primary effect of gentrification is that it drives rent up, and means that people can’t afford to live in their homes anymore. it tears up families and destroys communities.
I made this post because I am disabled and no matter how much I practice there are some games I will never be able to play because I physically cannot move my fingers the way you have to and the responses to this post from other disabled people, people who grew up unable to play video games, and people who just aren’t very good at them has been extremely enthusiastically positive, while people who apparently can’t conceive of the idea that some people will never be good at gaming condescendingly comment, tag or send me asks telling me to try easy mode or to get good despite the fact that the feature I’m describing already exists in some games and mods. if you’re part of the latter group, consider that some of us can not ever be good at video games and we still deserve to be able to participate and have fun
Ok, real talk, if you play PC games I use a program called Wemod that has settings for almost every game ever and you can change them to suit your needs
Unlimited health? one hit kill? unlimited items?
They can’t mod multiplayer games, but every genre of game imaginable is on Wemod so I use it for everything from stardew valley, subnautica, hades, farming sim and more!
It mods the games to your level of ease without needing to mess with any files or get deep into webpages for mods yourself
It is a life changer
One, this is older siblings who watch younger siblings play erasure, two that’s not the point. People deserve to enjoy the experience of playing a game for themselves. Watching someone play is fun. Playing yourself is a different kind of fun.
There are so many reasons why someone wouldn’t want to be challenged by a game, and it’s ridiculous that people can’t fathom someone requiring a different gameplay than themselves.
Back in the dark ages when I was a kid and we got our first computer, my dad noticed that I was sad because I wanted to play computer games like him, so he would let me play his games in god mode. Should a five year old have been playing Ultimate Doom? Absolutely not. Did I enjoy the shit out of it, particularly the part where I couldn’t die and could just wander around aimlessly machine gunning demons to death with no real goal in mind? Hell yes.
Also, no one should have to explain the reason they want to play the game in god mode.
That is absolutely none of your business, if someone wants to play the game with max items, weapons, armor, money etc., whatever reason they’re playing that way for. YOU, the anon on the internet have no business knowing or shitting on how they play. It’s THEIR game, and THEIR gameplay experience. and I hope OP was able to play their game the way they wanted to without being stymied by the games mechanics.
Can I Play That provides accessibility focused game reviews and news. For Disabled Gamers, By Disabled Gamers.
Can I Play That? is a fantastic resource for fellow disabled folks who want to play video games, as well as non-disabled video game devs who want to make their games more accessible. I highly recommend checking it out!
every time I mention how many days sober I am I appreciate people congratulating me and telling me to keep up the good work. it is nice. but I also wish that milestones in addiction recovery weren’t still so pinned to length of sobriety/abstinence
yeah yeah I’m 50 days sober who cares. how about the fact that, when I do drink, it tends to be nipped in the bud after two days nowadays instead of weeks or months? how about the fact that drinking has been condensed to a six pack because I’m at the end of my tether, instead of browning out every night? how about my friend who has decided to stop drinking alone, and is actually sticking to that? recovery doesn’t always look like sobriety and I wish it was more normal to talk about that. yknow. when addiction is normal to talk about at all
this is genuinely deliberate. staff is straight up targeting trans women. one by one, they're being silenced and it's fucking bleak and dystopian.
i don't care if some of these people MAY according to SOME sources done bad things. i don't care because that's the excuse being leveled to allow for the banning of HUNDREDS OF TRANS WOMEN. GENUINE HUNDREDS. OVER 200 NOW.
THIS ISN'T FUCKING OKAY. THIS ISN'T A MISTAKE. THIS IS DELIBERATE SILENCING OF AN ENTIRE DEMOGRAPHIC THAT IS ALREADY TARGETED FOR THE SLIGHTEST MISTAKE ON THE BASIS THAT THEY ARE TRANS WOMEN. the fact that it comes directly after the entire userbase spoke out against a horrible update, and a decent amount of people spoke out against the platforming of a zionist, it doesn't feel like a mistake. it feels like staff--or someone within staff--lashing out and throwing a fit. it's childish.
anyway. remember the time a lawsuit was leveled against tumblr by the nyc commission on human rights? do it again. do it again.
estrogenesis-eeveeangelion just got termed for speaking out about this. do something about it.

Cuba’s electrical grid suffered a total collapse on Monday, the country’s power operator said, marking the latest nationwide blackout in recent years, and the first since the US effectively shut off the flow of oil to the island of roughly 10 million people.
can't help seeing the US as the enemy of civilisation on this one
Hey Bri I hope you don't mind me sharing this on your post but in case anyone reading this is in Kansas or knows trans people in Kansas, Colorado is nearby and considered one of the safest states for trans & queer people. I know relocating is logistically expensive and challenging for many reasons, especially for people in a vulnerable situation, but if it is an option anyone is considering, there is a nonprofit here that may be able to help.
Steps These steps are intended to be a linear process to get you out of there and resettled here. But we get it, you’re a big kid and can do
