person online 1: buhhhh discourse
person online 2: guefhhhhh discourse
person in real life: corn dogs have pronouns now so I’m going to start firing randomly in a crowded mall
Quid pro quo.
First Felon is beholden to Musk, compromised and defenseless.
When you sign your soul to the devil, you end up with nothing.
the sweet and humble sudoku: here’s some numbers to get you started :) please enjoy my puzzle <3
the nefarious minesweeper: why don’t you just Guess. fucking Guess.

Late Stage White Supremacy.
what a fucking line.
people are always assuming that cats have a negative attitude about things. she's just sitting there bro
"she thinks we're all idiots" i doubt it
Good for this person. This is exactly what you do. Screw the job.
I had a job that made me work an all nighter, 30 hours straight, over Thanksgiving. I resigned that Monday and it was one of the most satisfying decisions I’ve ever made.
Part 3:
Please pay attention to all the manipulation tactics this boss uses, because they’re pulling out every trick in the book.
“I’m not your boss, I’m your friend”
“Other people will be hurt by this and it’s your fault and I’m going to tell them all that”
Mocking language
Jobs are important too
“Be a team player”
“We’re your family too”
Talking as if this is a thing you must do
“We all make sacrifices”
Undermining your authority
“You caused all of this, really”
Accusing you of being “unprofessional”
“Look at the money you cost us”
“Just laugh it off and come back to work”
This is like a 101 course in how employers use guilt trips to coerce you into putting up with their bullshit. This is precisely why you should never trust those employers who insist that they’re “like a family.” They are not. It’s just a ruse so that your boss can neg you into putting your job ahead of your actual life.
Also the big one: “Answer your phone” or “Call us” so that whatever happens isn’t documented in text.
To add
if you work for yourself
You are not immune to being an exploitive nightmare to yourself! Be aware!
Few years ago
I am a pedestrian
I get hit by a truck
Medical complications that nearly kill me…
…a few times
I awake from emergency surgery
My first thought my first action I can’t speak I am motioning to the people on my hospital recovery room
“Need paper, call the following people. Tell them this. Say what I wrote exactly.”
Friends? Loved ones?
No.
Fucking. Clients.
Status updates on client projects and that I was in the hospital but would be fine (no evidence of this I hadn’t asked about my condition after having just woken up from, i echo, emergency surgery)
“Hi your project is going to be compromised because I am trying not to die”
and I apologized for the inconvenience
:)
As soon as I medically recovered I finished the projects and ended business with those clients. Over the ensuing years I worked to remove myself from that business entirely.
This is not an anti business client rant — I was responsible, I was the boss, and that’s my point.
It was MY dumbass company.
If you work for yourself you must ensure you do not become a nightmare boss to yourself.
Unfortunately you are singly responsible for this. It’s part of the weight of being your own boss. Welcome to the part of your life where you now know this.
I have spent the last few years on an
intensely passionate
mission to convert my business into an art studio and consider every day I am alive gifted time.
Do not allow yourself to exploit yourself.
If you find yourself staring reasons why you must — I get it — I can only say, and I sincerely hope, you begin to unbuckle this. It will take time it will be expensive and embarrassing and horrible in ways that I know and you maybe can imagine
It’s worth it.
Figure it out, boss.
Do not. Allow yourself. To exploit yourself. It isn’t worth it.
