Sprang (noun)
This is a very old, but almost dead, textile craft called sprang. It's not exactly weaving - I'd say it's closer to braiding in that it only has warp threads, no weft. I'm using some metal rods as shed sticks, and also to keep the holes open enough to be fishnet-y.
My original goal was to make fingerless fishnet gloves/sleeves, but I think the material's going to be way too wide for that; it has a LOT of horizontal stretch. It's hard to tell exactly how much with it still tensioned, but if I'm lucky I might be able to make a short tube top of it!
For my next sprang project I won't keep the holes as open; I'd like to experiment with making a material opaque enough to have some sort of colorwork show up.

A fairly quick study from yesterday. Sadly I am not sure anymore, where exactly I got the reference from. It was very likely from https://www.fatphotoref.com I just really adore the regality and elegance of her pose.

Modern Midsummer Night’s Dream adaptation where the four youths in the woods are trying to film the Goatman for their youtube channel, and the mechanicals are a band of film students trying to shoot a found footage horror movie in the same woods at the same time.
We never actually see the Goatman, but at the end Hermia checks the footage she recorded on her camera. It’s all been erased except for one clip, where someone in the dark recites the “If we shadows have offended” monologue.
Tsundere this, yandere that. I'm a wandere. You took your eyes off me for two seconds and I've already fucked off. Saw something cool glint on the other side of the continent and I'm on my way to check it out.
