I come home and stop to pick some Yerba Buena (from my little garden) for some tea I will make and serve myself to help unwind after I kick off my shoes and hug my babies. Little moments like these remind me that life is beautiful. Life is beautiful despite the sad thoughts, despite the bad stress, despite the aches and pains. The last time I had a few days of depression, I fearfully wondered, how am I to survive to old age if I have to keep going through this? The panic attacks aren't a daily or even monthly thing. They happen a handful of times a year since the assault. But when they happen, I feel as though I JUST KNOW I'm going to die. My husband holds me and tries to comfort & help me. I sink into his arms wondering how he manages to put up with this. If the roles were reversed, I don't know if I could handle THIS. I fear so much that my children could inherit the illness. But right now, in this moment, I am here. I'm grounded to the earth. I reap what I sow and I sow lovely things. I made a women smile and chuckle simply because I was smiling and she felt my energy and just knew that look. The look of being in-love. Everything will be just fine even if I can't imagine it or see any light. For this look I focused on a #bold winged #eyeliner by outlining blue, silver then white eyeshadows to the points. I outlined the thick wing on my lids with Mac's #Pro longwear gel liner in Blacktrack using an angled eye shadow brush. I highlighted my brow bone after filling in my brows with #Benefitcosmetics Browzings. I used #Smashbox shade Snow to highligh then their shadow Cosmic all over the crease and around. I took my #Colourpop creme gel liner pen all around my water lines and smudged outward. Finally, I used a coat of #Grandeprimer white mascara before slathering my #eyelashes in a thick coat of #MAC False Lashes #mascara. Underneathe my eyes I used Benefit's Eye Bright pencil. I then blended bronzer with a #kabuki brush along my cheeks and nose. I swept my cheek bones, nose and cupids bow with #CiaoBella iridescent #rainbowhighlighter. And finally, for my lips I outlines and lightly filled with Mac's lip pencil in Stripdown then used my finger tip to pat my lips down with #Smith #Rosebud #salve "I feel pretty. Oh so pretty..."

Now this is a beautiful picture! All that whey perfectly seperated from the kefir yogurt after a double ferment! When making your own kefir, you get high levels of vitamins, enzymes and probiotics. But when you do a double ferment, you can basically multiply that level of goodness × 100! Just blend it until it's all creamy textured and add your favorite fruits if you'd like. If you're lactos intolerate, kefir is perfectly fine to indgest! I try to avoid using honey because honey is antimicrobial and I want to get all the cultures in my tummy. Btw, homemade kefir is much different from store bought. The kefir sold in stores is great but they do not contain all the cultures from kefir. This Iridescent rainbow highlighter is so beautiful on! Just a little swipe on the top of each cheekbone and a dab on my nose and I am illuminated! You can make it subtle or make it stand out and get creative with it! It is small considering I paid $17 for it on Etsy. It doea come with a mirror so that's a little perk. My order was screwed up by not being mailed out for 2 weeks but the retailer sent me a liquid lipstick and another highlighter to make up for the unprofessionalism. But only avfew hours after I get it in the mail, I go into my purse to reach my phone and somehow the highlighter fell out and half the product was in pieces. Who says bright eyeshadows can't be pulled off in a modest or formal setting!? If I wore a brighter lip like purple it would change the look completely but I used a satin brown lip pencil from #Nars . I used a dark grey shadow in my crease then stacked this #blue shade from an off brand on my lids (not very pigmented but with water it went on much better). Finished it off with a jet #black gel liner from #MAC and black mascara to fan out my #eyelashes . A little #concealer on my cheek bones and under eyes. Then blended all over with #BenNye powder in translucent pink. A dab of #champagnepop #highlighter from #Becca & #jaclynhill and a swipe of some old blush I'm trying to use up and get rid of. I was scrolling through Lime Crime's Instagram account and I saw this (recent) post and I just had to share it! I don't know what I love more right now; the absolutely kissable lips or the glitter and the good Lord knows I love my glitter! That pink on her lips is GORGEOUS!! I can't pull off pinks. I love doing partial no makeup looks. I just love a good eyeshadow compilation using nude shades and pf course, winged eyeliner! But other than that, after I primed my face, all I used was a pressex powder in my skin tone, dusted somr highlighter on my cheek bones, cupids bow & tip of bow. I was going to use red lipstick but for this picture, I wanted to stick to making my eyes the focal point so I used a nude (for my skin tone) pencil to fill my lips. A touch of rouge with my fan brush before I highlighted started bringing my face to life after the powder foundation. I just love how the look is simple yet sexy, dewy but in no way over done. A dab, swipe and buff of brozer helped really bring my face to life!
