when i was a kid my parents bought me an inflatable doll of the Scream by Edvard Munch (??) that was significantly taller than i was at the time and i used to slow-dance with it and pretend it was my boyfriend. It had its hands attached to its head obviously so it felt like he was always a bit horrified to be forced to dance with me
i didn't need no imaginary friends i had Screaming Joe right here !

Charlie Morningstar is a fantastic protagonist
it truly boggles my mind that charlie gets so much criticism. Theres a lot to criticize about the Hellaverse, even if i love it, but Charlie is honestly such an interesting lead and tbh a lot of what people say they don't like about her are traits that they like in the male characters. She is extremely willfully ignorant to actual problems that are more gray and complex.
Yeah charlie is a massive hypocrite, can be pretty selfish, doesn't listen to people, is pushy and overbearing and inconsiderate a lot of the time.
Those same traits are what people love in Alastor, Lucifer, Vox etc.
She's NOT perfect. She has a ton of power and influence and privilege and you can see how that makes her very inconsiderate. She IS spoiled. She doesn't want to use and acknowledge her immense power but she also uses it every day without acknowledging it. Ep 3 of season 2 was incredible, I love how Angel told her that saying sorry doesn't matter if you keep doing bad things. I love how it showed her strange morals about dressing appropriately and how actually disrespectful it was. I love how she is so caught up in what SHE wants she doesn't realize how much she is hurting everyone.
I love that she becomes so fixated on proving that she is right and proving that she is "good" that she stops actually being good.
She has an undeniably good heart but her extremely sheltered and privileged upbringing make her so wilfully ignorant to the harm she causes.
giving the main character, especially the main female character, actual bad flaws is so refreshing. I appreciate that they dont sugar coat it or make big excuses for it, they actually show how harmful her actions are.
more complex female characters!!!!

The crazy thing is, ninety-nine times out of a hundred, if you asked me on any given day "Would like to see a picture of some genitals?" my answer would be "đ° No, that's... No, thank you. I'm okay, actually." I have nothing but the utmost respect for people who do engage with the penis side of the internet, but personally, I've spent the better part of two decades doing all I can NOT to have pictures of dick and balls or sexy bikini babe buttcheeks blasted onto my retinas constantly. And yet... to be denied the penis? To have a jumped up pile of javascript tell me, a grown adult with an air fryer and an outstanding council tax bill, that I cannot be trusted to withstand the sight of a bare nipple unless I let it scan my drivers' license? I will move heaven and earth to see that fucking nipple, friend. I will walk a thousand miles barefoot on hot coals before I give you big brother bitches my passport number. A thousand miles through the desert with five VPNs just to press my face up against the glass and see the last uncensored picture of two My Little Pony Characters sixty-nining each other, and I don't even want! to look at it! But I will! I must! for the sake of our fucking democracy!
It is So Boring in the mattress store for kids. Itâs basically hell for children because thereâs fuckall to do for them.
A couple I was helping earlier had two little ones, three and six, who were behaving in a rather saintly fashion for the average bored kid I see. I tried to engage them with remotes and things while their parents talked.
Eventually they were restless enough that I pulled out notepads and asked if they wanted to draw. The three year old quickly lost interest and I went over to ask her favorite animal. She told me âelephantâ so to delight and amaze her I started drawing an elephant. Usually kids are into it.
When I was done she pronounced, âIt looks like a giraffe.â
I staggered back melodramatically but actually laughing hysterically and said, âThere goes my art degree!â
The parents laughed and said kids were harsh critics. When they checked out they saw my elephant doodle on the desk and both did a double take like, âWoah, thatâs a really good elephant!â
âYeah, I actually did go to art school, but itâs okay. My niece wasnât very impressed with my drawings at that age either.â
Behold, a giraffe.
While it was a longshot, I do appreciate that Gimli did try chopping the Ring up with an axe first. It was worth a shot, and they'd have all felt like bloody idiots if they took the Ring all the way to Mordor only to find out it could have been chopped up by an axe all along.
Gimli would try the door handle at an escape room
