As someone who has been living with severe suicidal ideation my entire life I wanna tell you all something, you don’t have to stay alive for yourself. People will say it’s a bad idea to live for external things because they’re temporary, and it’s true living for yourself is ideal but if you’re not to that point yet that’s ok too. 

I’ve lived for my dog for the past 4 years, before that I lived for my snakes, before that I lived for my cat. You can live for whatever needs you and whatever matters to you. Live for your best friend, live for your plants, live for your pets, live for your animal crossing town. Live for whatever keeps you alive and the day will come when you can live for yourself.

Transformers kept me alive. When the 2007 movie was announced I was going through an incredibly hard time emotionally. I saw the preview and every time I thought about killing myself I thought, “but then I won’t get to see this thing I’ve always wanted to see, good or not.” And it got me through.

I’m in a place where I live for myself now, but don’t toss away a life preserver just because other people think you should be able to swim on your own.

Hey guys, just a heads up -

Viagogo is advertising Queen tickets on here.

Do not, under any circumstances, purchase anything from Viagogo.

They routinely add additional fees – $50 tickets at the check out, but then they charge you a $200 processing fee (yes, $200), and there is no way to get your money back. And then you rock up at the concert in question and find that there are four other people with your same ticket, because you were all sold fakes.

A colleague of mine had this happen – two tickets, and they should have been $70 all up. $475 was taken from her account. They weren’t able to get the unapproved money back.

Adding insult to injury, weeks later they arrived at the show, went to buzz in their ticket and it bounced. Someone else had already used that ticket to get in. Security went and found the person, and while this was happening, more security brought over a third person who also had the same ticket. The person who had arrived first had the legit ticket, and the other two were fakes. Fakes that cost nearly $500.

They have 2,479 one-star reviews on Product Review, the last of which was shared 17 hours ago, all with similar stories.

Don’t buy anything from Viagogo. They will rob you blind, and you won’t even get to see the show.

to elaborate, the other day i was visiting a college which has a bit of a reputation, as many colleges do, for having a lot of weed. and i mentioned one of my concerns for attending, which was the fact that if i inhale marijuana secondhand smoke, i have an asthma attack and physically can’t breathe. and i mentioned this to a couple prospective students and i both times got the reaction “it’s ok; you can just use edibles!” and i didn’t really say this at the time, but the fact is, i don’t want to. i don’t want to interact with weed at all in college, and—at least at my high school—that’s considered strange. and i honest-to-god believe that is majorly fucked up.

and here’s the thing. even expressing this sentiment is hard. because when i try to talk about the consequences of doing weed (yeah believe it or not there are some) or even my reasons for not wanting to do weed, people assume i believe myself to be morally better than someone who does do weed, and i don’t. i don’t feel superior to anyone, especially not for a reason as stupid as that. the thing is, i don’t want to use my asthma as an excuse for not wanting to vape, but i feel like i have to. i don’t want to use my asthma as an excuse for not wanting to smoke, but i feel like i have to. and i hate this aspect of the culture i’m in. i hate that i have to defend the position of “i don’t think eighteen-year-olds should smoke weed.” i hate that it’s considered normal—even cool—to consistently put recreational drugs in your body from ages 13-24.

i went to sleep after posting this and when i woke up i as laughing cause i was so awful basically they called me to come in right when i called to ask about the job and i had a killer ass migrane so i went as a half dead bitch also i typed up a makeshift resume in the waiting room and when i went in im like hey you want me to send this to u i just made it and the doctor was like ok if u want and my phone was not working so i went ya forget it theres no signal and he went kay thats fine too and i went home and a half hour later he called to say i was hired and i went back to sleep i thought i dreamt this shit i start monday though apparently
