The world consists of creatures with and without magic. Due to the jealousy of non-magical creatures, the magic users were banished into hiding long ago. Most humans in the modern world believe that magic has mostly died out, but there are still some magical bloodlines out there. And in some rare cases, a child can be born with natural magic. Once the magic is detected the children are put into schools to protect them and bring them into the vast magical world hidden from plain human sight. The schooling starts with elementary school and goes to college. After college, each wizard is able to make a choice to either join the human world and vow to never show others magic or to stay within the magical realm and work.
Born into a family full of magic-users
Grew up learning about the wonders of magic
He was first going to major in time magic, but then almost got himself stuck in the 1800’s so he quickly jumped ship.
Found out that he enjoyed metamorphic magic when he got locked out of his car and was able to turn a tree branch into his car keys.
Had an accident as a sophomore while showing OT4 what he could do with his magic and he ended up turning them into magical creature because his magic reacted to something Key had in his bag.
He was just trying to turn a mouse into its magic form.
Instead, he turned himself into a satyr and now he can turn into one at will.
But he usually doesn’t because he was the least cool.
He just turned his legs into goat legs.
Loves the extracurricular class he has with Jonghyun, transportation
No longer has to walk up all the stairs to his dorm or to classes
Shared a dorm room with Taemin because of their last name
Halfway through his freshman year Taemin and Jonghyun ended up switching rooms so now he shares a room with Jonghyun.
Didn’t really address his gay-ness until Jjong started rooming with him.
Basically, all his classes are ones about turning objects into other objects or living things into other living things.
Spent his entire time at the school trying to figure out how to reverse the effects of the mishap Sophomore with Minho who was tired of turning into a mythical creature whenever he had a good dream or whenever his emotions got too out of hand.
Just a positive bean trying to help everyone be the best person they came be.
Jonghyun- protection/healing spells
He was born with natural ability and had non-magical parents.
He found out he had magic when he was 10 and his little sister broke her arm while they were trying to climb a tree and he accidentally fixed it and his family was v confused.
He wanted to be a doctor when he was little
But when he ended up having magic and his parents shipped him off to a bunch of magical schools.
So when he reached college he decided he would focus on healing and protection charms.
Wants to be able to help everyone else.
He hated the generals classes on fighting spells freshman year.
Now he spends all his time in the herbology area reading about cool ways to heal people.
After the mishap with Onew he can also turn into a Fairy whenever he wants.
Which actually ended up working for him because some of his healing spells require fairy dust.
Spells vials of his own pixie dust to other students for a cheaper price than the school sells them for and makes so much money off of it.
Used to share a room with Key their freshman year, but he got tired of Taemin always spending the night, and them staying up too late that it caused him sleeping problems.
The man sleeps like a log, so Jjong was able to start getting actual sleep.
Might also have a crush on Onew but he doesn’t even know the elder’s sexuality so ???
A decent student who has the best intentions.
Also very precise and almost never makes mistakes with his magic
Other than that time he was practicing an operation his Junior year and he left some herbs inside of someone’s arm and also sealed the wound with them inside the person’s arm
Got an F on that assignment.
His Grandma had been kicked from the magical world due to her use of black magic.
The head wizards waited for a generation before bringing the Kim generation back for another try
Little did they know that little Kibum, the happy and cheerful 1st grader had grown up around black magic as his grandma home-taught his parents and himself.
He loves his charms and potions
You need someone to fall in love with you or someone, to tell the truth?
He is able to make a potion for nearly anything.
Lowkey drabbles in dark magic, even though it’s illegal.
He is the reason Jinki’s spell went wrong, he had a loosely closed vial of a potion meant to sabotage someone else in his bang and he was next to Jinki and he is the reason they all turned into magical creatures.
But he turned into a Pixie, so that’s pretty cool.
It makes it easier for him to sneak around and be the mischievous boy he is.
Also roped Taemin into dark magic one night in the Freshman year when Taemin found out what he was doing and he put a long-term charm on Taemin.
That’s the same night he started dating the boy.
Actually likes Taemin a lot, and thinks he is v cute.
Not a bad person and he doesn’t have bad intentions,
But his parents got him into it, and dark magic is a lot more powerful so he is just kind of stuck.
He will literally do anything for his boyfriend and friends
But they are his parents so it’s not like he can do anything about that.
Like you can’t get more old-time magic used blood in anyone else.
Has always been around magic, his dad was in the magic army and his mom was a nurse for it.
But he wants to be able to do what he can to protect not only his country but also his friends and family.
But also can be scary with his magic at times.
Joined the brawl team and that was both the best and worst thing to ever happen to him.
He became very extroverted after getting comfortable with himself and who he was
But he also went from the top of his strategy classes to the bottom because he no longer had time to think about it.
But that’s not always a bad thing.
Once he stopped Jonghyun from doing the wrong spell that might’ve broken Kibum’s fingers if done wrong.
When Jinki messed them up he got turned into a Unicorn
“I thought Unicorns were for girls?” T: “No you dummy, there are boy unicorns too, how else could they bang and have more babies?”
Tried to skewer Taemin with his horn
He doesn’t tell a soul about him being able to turn into a Unicorn
Luckily enough, he applied late and doesn’t have a roommate
Or else they would see how many times he has turned into a Unicorn in his sleep.
Like Jonghyun, he too had normal non-magic parents
Lowkey only found out because he started kind of flying as a little kid while playing pretend.
His mom almost had a heart attack.
Pretty quickly he was sent to school, but he tries to make regular visits home.
Only chose this major because his favorite show as a preteen was Avatar the Last Airbender
He also makes sure to tell everybody that.
Kinda floats in the middle of his class grade-wise, he doesn’t try too hard.
Like his elemental classes and strategy classes are bleh
But he is vvv good at actually doing his magic
Can’t ever decide if he like Fire or Water the most though
Freshman year he accidentally set his bed on fire in his sleep
He had to impulse water magic the fire out, and he was a stressy boi
He turned into a mermaid when Onew messed him and his friends up.
Was digging how cool it made him look.
Convinced he got the coolest creature out of the five of them
Would fight Jonghyun about it
Halfway through his freshman year, he caught Key doing black magic late at night and like then he went to sleep?
It took him 4 months and an accidental fall into the cleansing pond when a bug scared him to realize that Key had charmed him.
Didn’t really mind that much so he just didn’t say anything
Black magic is kinda cool anyway.
Just a good bean trying his best
He really likes magic and thinks it’s so fun and when he talks about his elemental magic he just lights up and he is very cute.
Also loses his wand everywhere
Has also sat on it more than once bc he puts it in his back pocket sometimes.
