god i just finished this book and 1) the number of sheer, raw lines that gutted me were both too often and not often enough and 2) i genuinely was giggling at these characters and their banter and the found family of it and holy shit i bought by the second book when i was 3/4 of the way through the first book bc i needed more as soon as i could get it

It will forever baffle me that 90% of the Throne of Glass fandom are angry at the fact that Aedion was angry at Aelin & Lysandra for planning to use him as a breeding stock…mind you this male is also canonically a victim of SA…he also has trauma surrounding never knowing his bio dad until at the end when he found out it was Gavriel & Gavriel ended up sacrificing himself, he still never got a chance to know his dad…

this has 100% been talked about before but younger members of the lgbt community (especially on tumblr) NEED to understand that “gay panic” doesn’t mean “oh no i’m a teen panicking because i might be gay” it means “literal legal defense used in cases where a person has murdered someone upon finding out they were gay”

the gay panic defense states that if someone finds out you are gay you do not need to have threatened them, spoken to them, or even know of their existence- they now have the right to murder you under self-defense laws bc you letting them find out you’re gay antagonized and “panicked” them.
