LAND BACK today and every day forever we have to kill all settler colonies
Hi yall. As most of you know, I was nuked by staff. Not only was I nuked, but it was an "internally generated report" meaning that staff did it personally. I was not reported. Staff chose to ban me all on their own. What for? The reasons they gave were 1. Harrasment. And 2. "Making multiple blogs of the same subject matter"
That second one is an outright lie. I have never had more than one account at a time. Yes, I had sailor crusader before I had sailatina. But I deleted that one before starting fresh. There is absolutely nothing in the TOS that says I cant do that.
And harassment? Harassing who? I would like to know who I supposedly harassed, because I can tell you this: for the entirety that sailatina existed, I have never once sent a mean ask. I never sent a single anon at all. And I sure as hell never made sockpuppet accounts. No stalking, no bullying, I was never even rude to someone unless they were rude to me first. And I'm banned for harassment? When literally after my ban there are people making accounts to spread rumors about me? That's right, there's someone out there *right now* accusing me of having CP of all things. With an account they made for that sole purpose. And I'm the one who's ban worthy?
Now I need you to understand, I was banned shortly after Patricia Taxxon was. Here is the email she received and the one I received upon my own ban:
Notice anything? They are the exact same. The only difference is that mine was internally generated. Isn't that interesting? Two prominent trans women on this site, posting on similar topics, both get banned for the same made-up reasons within days? And here's the kicker, it happened AGAIN! The EXACT same thing just happened to isuggestforcefem! Literally the exact same!
Staff has crossed a line. We've been through banwaves before but this is absolutely deliberate and they're hardly even trying to hide it. Keep in mind that alleged human trafficker Matt has already admitted there have been discriminatory practices against trans women on here. There is no denying it, Tumblr staff is intentionally discriminating against trans women. Banning us for existing and, let's face it, for the color of our skin in many cases.
I am impressed that they would have the audacity to do this. Considering how they just had a lawsuit for their discriminatory practices. Would you like another lawsuit? Can Tumblr, the next PDF, survive another lawsuit? Y'all are bottom-feeding scum.
remember a little while ago when there was a round of discussing the undeniably disproportionate moderation trans women face on this website. and a few of us were saying stuff like "this doesn't necessarily mean there's people on tumblr staff specifically going out of their way to target trans women because the way systemic bigotry functions is that that doesn't need to be the case to result in the same outcomes, and it's more likely this is coming from staff's inability to adequately handle mass scale false reporting campaigns
and then the ceo of tumblr literally admitted that they had external contractors doing moderation that was so transphobic that even mr. dipshit 'threaten to involve the FBI because a trans woman made a looney toons threat at me" mullenwag realized that was what was happening there. just want to make sure we all don't forget that that's something that happened! lol!
here's a source on this one on the off chance you weren't around or don't remember so you can see that i am not exaggerating or editorializing at all [x]
anyway hows the in house moderation been going to reduce the transphobia. pretty good it doesn't seem
People put so much into seeing Stonewall as this symbol. And at the time we just thought, ‘Oh, I guess it’s just that time of the month when cops raid the bar, so they can make their numbers for arresting fags for the month of June.’ But people get so concerned about the details. I don’t know about all the crap I’ve heard all these years. Sometimes it’s ‘Oh, someone threw a high-heel shoe.’ Sometimes it’s ‘No, gurl, it was a Molotov cocktail,’ or ‘Somebody slugged a cop.’ All I know is that night, they came in, and nobody budged. I guess we were just sick of their shit. And suddenly we were fighting, and we were kicking their ass. The cops had to back up into the bar. We had them cornered. Next thing you knew, the riot squad was there, and baby, it was on. ‘The night of Stonewall’ is how people talk about it, but it was more like a week. People want to know the little details, but what I remember most is being scared as hell. We were fighting for our lives. They’re still killing us; they’re still not giving us the respect we’re due for putting up with their shit all these years. I’m giving you the facts about how shit’s been from the beginning, and what’s gone on, how the law was in our daily lives—the facts! And so with regard to that producer lady, the whole time I just thought to myself, ‘There’s gonna be so much of me on the cutting-room floor.’

“We tend to think of censorship as aiming to destroy information that already exists. But when we observe the real behaviors of bodies like the Inquisition, they rarely attempt that—focusing instead on labeling or policing information, trying to control who accesses what, and on spreading fear of their authority. If we look at the condemnation of Galileo, it was only a “failure” if we presume the goal was to silence Galileo’s ideas. The condemnation also frightened Descartes into not publishing a newly-completed radical treatise, which he then revised heavily to be much more orthodox and Catholic. The condemnation “succeeded” in preventing the publication of Descartes’s ideas, and those of numerous others who decided to self-censor out of fear. This led to one of the project’s conclusions: the majority of censorship is self-censorship, but the majority of self-censorship is intentionally cultivated by a censoring authority.”
— Ada Palmer, on her project “Censorship and Information Control During Information Revolutions”
like I think it is good and important to be able to criticise porn and erotica for the relationship to the political environment/context of creation etc, but I think that’s not too different from criticising any other art on these grounds. how is the erotica speaking to conventions of the genre? what is the author trying to tell you in what they hold up as attractive? what might the author be saying that they’re not necessarily aware that they’re saying? how does the narrative relate to other dominant cultural narratives? these are all valuable questions to ask and can be answered in nuanced ways that do not involve kink-shaming & do not involve calling people degenerate perverts. yknow.
something I read the other day had a storyline that involved a woman being kidnapped by foreign “disgusting perverts” (<- not supposed to be sexy) so that she could then be rescued by an army general (<- sexy) who had to fuck her as part of the rescue. now it’s no bother to me if someone else gets their rocks off to that, power to them. that said, we can criticise the framing of Woman Ending Up In Sex Trafficking Requires An Army Man To Fuck Her To Safety in the same way we would criticise similar framing in non-erotic contexts. how is this serving the image of the benevolent military? how is it feeding into the white woman’s fear of the other? what is being held up as ‘perverted’ in its juxtaposition to ‘sexy’? etc etc. this was bad erotica but it was also pro-military propaganda and that does mean something

Every dog has a “dog pearl”. It makes it by eating grass. When a dog dies it uses its pearl energy to manifest one wish. We don’t know what they wish for, but our thaumaturgists have traced their leylines through history. The consequences of dog wishes on the current political climate can’t be understated.
