Let bi boys date girls
Who isn’t letting them……
Gay boys who see me with a girl and say I shouldn’t be allowed in lgbt spaces because I’m actually really straight
Straight girls who see me as their “gay friend” or who say they don’t care about sexuality but wouldn’t date a boy who’s had sex with a boy
Straight people in general who say “isn’t he really just gay” or telling girls that I’m actually gay and faking it with them
Gay people who say that because I have the option of dating a girl I’m the same as the straight people who oppress our community
Gay people who say I’ll never understand oppression or what it’s like to “actually” be gay
So there’s quite a few people not letting them!!
Keep reblogging this post all the comments are people showing how much they hate bisexual people
Biphobes unfollow me, you’re not welcome here. LET👏PEOPLE👏LOVE👏WHO👏THEY👏WANT👏
I haven’t seen a post like this for bi boys, only for bi girls. let’s fix that.
this is especially sad while the only pro-democracy newspaper (print media) in the city is forced to shut down this week…
The paper that backed the popular 2019 Hong Kong protests is on the verge of shutting down as the administration, backed by Beijing, targets
The pro-democracy Hong Kong newspaper Apple Daily looked set to close for good by Saturday following police raids and the arrest of executiv
[text ID: a comment pinned by “thelastpeanut”, reading:
“I’m genuinely touched by the sudden influx of attention, but I want to humbly remind everyone that each protester you see in this video is now either in jail, in exile or in some form of hiding. Most can’t escape, and now that the decades-old Hong Kong democracy movement has been completely crushed, they’ll likely live the rest of their lives under Beijing’s authoritarian rule. The protesters knew it would probably end like this, but they did it anyways, hence the rallying cry of “攬炒”… “if we burn, you burn with us”.
Most of my friends now suffer from PTSD, depression or perpetual anxiety. Words and ideas that were once debated in public are now whispered in private - or not at all - out of fear that a neighbour or co-worker or family member overhears and decides to report you. I don’t think calling Hong Kong a police state is an exaggeration anymore, and it’s only the beginning.
Maybe it’s too late for Hong Kong, but you can still learn from what happened here. I hope you realise that you’re not alone, that your pain and yearning is shared by countless silent strangers, and that when enough people speak as one, you can move the needle of history. I’ve seen it happen.
Most of all, I hope you remember us.”

Hongkonger here.
I cannot begin to describe the feelings I have seeing this post here. Grateful, but sadden.
The information here is correct, though the shut down of the Apple Daily, the pro-democary paper was already months ago.
One of our biggest concerns now is the National Security Law, which allows the government to basically arrest anyone and ban anything that speaks against them. Movies and documentaries about the protests have been banned in Hong Kong. (e.g. 少年'May You Stay Forever Young’ and 時代革命 ‘Revolution of our times’, which got the Best Documentary award in Taiwan’s 58th Golden Horse Awards. )
A lot of our protestors are jailed. Our pro-democratic socities have disassembled. Our democratic politicians are facing charges or have been jailed. Candidates for our upcoming election for the legislation council are all more or less pro-beijing, and even publishing a poll that shows people are choosing not to vote for anyone this year risks breaking the law.
The situation is pretty bleak, and a lot of us have plans to leave Hong Kong because of it. Especially teachers, who are either unwilling to teach students propaganda and only information about how great China is, or fear that they will say something anti-China and will be reported and have to go to jail.
People mostly avoid talking about politics now. Whereas once we all talked about it openly, you can feel that we are all censoring ourselves now. And even if they do, it is mostly behind closed doors or whispered between friends or using really watered down facing.
(and whereas once I would talk and post about all this in IG, which is popular among HKers, I do not dare to now. Tumblr still seems safe. Hardly anyone know about Tumblr in HK)
Anyway, thanks for remembering us and reblogging this.

disabled abuse survivor in need of financial aid
( date of writing: 9.29.2021 )
tired of making posts about this but i'm also tired of financially struggling. i'm an autistic and adhd developmental trauma/abuse survivor with multiple undiagnosed/untreated physical conditions (eds/ghsd, pots, chronic inflammation, etc.) that are currently making my life hell because getting said diagnosis and treatment is taking too long. my bf and i are both working full-time but can hardly afford anything other than bills since we moved away from his violently abusive family and into our own apartment.
we need help with paying said bills, plus:
groceries/food
furniture
cleaning supplies
gas money
pet care/vet bills
car repairs
household repairs
laundromat money
medication
eventual trauma therapy
credit card bills
( at the time of writing this, i'm still trying to raise some money for a wheelchair as well for when stuff is really bad but i have to leave the house and my cane doesn't do enough. )
working 30-40 hours a week (at a manual labor job, no less) is taking a huge toll on me due to illness and i have spent the majority of this year trying to get help without much progress. between work, stuff for classes, and being too sick / in pain / tired to do much either than lay in bed, i don't have the time or energy or physical capability to take care of myself (eating enough food, bathing, etc.) or take care of our apartment. i'm working on becoming a full-time artist when i can and i am currently accepting commissions and offering other some other services. otherwise, i'm also accepting donations:

WEASELTOTHEFACE’S SUPER MEGA AWESOME BUMBLEBY HIDDEN GEMS REC LIST (part one?)
Have you (yes YOU!) ever read a fic recommendations list and gone
“well SHUCKS all these fics are really swell! But I’ve already read them all!”
have you ever lamented the fact that, sometimes, a fic rec list is just a list of all the fics that everyone already knows are super popular?
Have you ever wanted to read some lesser known fics but the thought of digging through thousands of works is just too daunting?
well look no further!
I, your esteemed host, a weasel of discerning taste but dubious credentials, am here to shine a light on some of the fandom’s lesser known and underappreciated works!
From more popular works that I personally feel don’t get the recognition they deserve to a dedicated list of fics that are under 150 kudos you’ll find it here at Weaseltotheface’s Super Mega Awesome Bumbleby Hidden Gems Emporium!
Under the cut!

I tried to find something about this to reblog and share, but I didn't see anything so I wanted to put this out there. More than 1000 authors have all signed a petition to stand in solidarity with trans rights and essentially condemning J.K. Rowling's TERF views.
This includes Stephen King (which coincides with his Twitter drama with Rowling from before), Margaret Atwood, Neil Gaiman, and more big names in the industry.
Look at those beautiful trans supportive authors!
The Google doc with the letter and a list of the authors who signed it can be found here:
This is a letter of support for the trans and non-binary community from publishing professionals of the United States and Canada. It is a co
Here is a link to an LA Times article:
Between 1,500 and 2,000 members of the North American literary world signed an open letter offering support to trans and nonbinary communiti
And here is a link to the Guardian article:
With more than 1,200 signatories the US and Canada including Neil Gaiman and NK Jemisin, message follows row over comments by JK Rowling
I thought, given all the sincere disappointment I've heard from people who loved her books, at least this gives you an alternative source.
Trans rights are human rights!

Does this guy think that…women don’t have knees?
The amab nonbinary experience is as varied as the afab one. Amab nonbinary people can be any gender, any orientation, any race. They might be transfem, or they might not. They can use he, she, they, or any other pronouns. They can be anything. Make them feel at home in nonbinary spaces because nonbinary spaces are their homes! They are our community, our family. Respect and accept them like you would anyone else.
“ Girls are rewarded for being ‘tomboys’!” ……..No they fucking aren’t. Please ask any gnc woman what her childhood was like. At best, being a ‘tomboy’ is tolerated up to a certain age but is harshly punished and discouraged after that. Women who aren’t what society deems as ‘acceptably feminine’ are often at risk for violence, social ostracism and rejection from their family, friends and peers. I’m so sick of people acting like gnc women have some kind of privilege for being that way because they really don’t.
hey guys! unfortunately during the course of the pandemic, my disability has gone from moderate to severe and we aren’t seeing me make the progress with it that we were hoping. being cooped up inside for a year and a half kind of destroyed all the progress I had made in 2019, and i’m no longer able to walk any kind of long distance. this is debilitating in the fact that i can’t shop, get groceries and household essentials, or simply take my dog out without use of a wheelchair. i’ve relied heavily thus far on mechanical ones provided at shops, but not everywhere has accessibility in mind and i’m tired of not being able to go somewhere because i can’t walk. i want my independence back.
so i’m asking for about $200 USD for a wheelchair of my own. with me unable to work and my fiancee out of a job with COVID cases in our county rising, it’s just not something i can afford on my own right now. if anybody could spare it, i would really appreciate the help!
you can donate via paypal at paypal.me/drgynsbaby and i’m more than willing to answer questions. thanks so much!
