Reminder:
When writing always remember… a character flaw is only a flaw until becomes useful.
Is your protagonist manipulative? Well that’s awful… until they manipulate the antagonist into making a decision that saves the lives of their friends.
Is your protagonist a skeptic? Well that’s not good… until someone tries to lie to them.
Is your protagonist overprotective? That sucks… until someone they love is in danger.
Is your protagonist remorseless? Well that makes them pretty unlikeable… until a hard decision has to be made.
The flipside is also true!
Your protagonist is honest? That’s good… until their survival depends on them being able to lie convincingly.
Your protagonist is brave? That’s good… until they foolishly run headlong into danger without a thought for the consequences.
Your protagonist is forgiving and able to see good in everyone? That’s good… until they continually forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it, and get taken advantage of because they can’t fathom that some people just suck.
Your protagonist is funny? That’s good… until they piss off everyone around them because they don’t seem to be taking the situation seriously, and they keep avoiding dealing with their problems by hiding behind humor.
Most personality traits aren’t inherently good or bad. It’s all about context, and how far they go.
Changing my belief system from "this is the hill I'll die on" to "this is the hill I'll kill you on" has done absolute wonders for me 10/10 do recommend
"you really gonna die on that hill?"
"someone is."
yeah.
Holy shit I knew it was bad but this is DIRE
There’s more content on ao3 for my old Latin textbook curriculum than there is for raid shadow legends and I think that says a lot
wait hold on let’s set raid to the side why’s your latin curriculum on ao3
It’s a series of a couple books that follow the story of a Roman family and you have to learn grammar and translate each chapter
I read through the results and apparently a lot of people ship Cornelia (daughter/main girl) and Flavia (her friend who was there for like 4 chapters and never again)
So my Latin textbook’s fandom’s most popular ship is gay, basically

BEHOLD
I’M AT THE WAFFLE HOUSE. I’M AT THE TAROT HUT. I’M AT THE COMBINATION WAFFLE HOUSE AND TAROT HUT.
The ultimate disaster warning system!
Slow burn but it's written by an impatient person
This doesn't affect the speed of the developing relationship at all, but does make for a very passive aggressive narrator.
“They looked into each other’s eyes for a long moment...again. Notably, they were not kissing.”
Gomez and Morticia Addams got divorced. I woke up mortified and with a sense of inexplicable dread.
you literally don’t need any other plot and i would watch the movie
Every 'normal' adult is fussing around Pugsley and Wednesday because "poor children that must be so hard for you to see mom and dad break up like this"
But the kid are absolutely unfazed, arguing that "it's alright they will be together again soon". The normie are so sad for the "children clinging to vain hopes" until Morticia and Gomez get married again two weeks after the divorce.
In the meantime Mama and Uncle Fester fight about which one of them will go to whose custody.
They pretend to argue in court and at meeting with lawyers over the splitting of the properties but that's mostly Gomez insisting to leave more and more thing to his wife in an angry voice.
At home they decided not to talk to each other so Lurch has to (begrudgingly) transmit messages from one to the other, even when they are sat on either side of the table.
That works (more or less) then Morticia says one word in french and Gomez run to cover her with kisses until Morticia remind him that they are spliting (that's the only moment he seems to regret the whole thing)
This. All of this.
I showed them to my mom once and she pointed at the kitten and said “petty theft” and pointed to the big cat and said “grand larceny”
