hey!

i am new with all of this fandom-tumblr thing, but i've always consumed content throughout this platform with my personal account.

so, let me introduce myself!

my name is izabella, i'm 21 years old and a psychology student who writes since childhood. i'm neuroatypical and i suffer from adhd. my adhd was the responsible one to introduce me in the fandom world as a way to deal with the hyperactivity. since then, I've discovered the wondrous world of fanfics, headcanons, and much more – which helped me going through a delicate phase, and as i said, to deal with my hyperactivity.

i've written a few fanfics in my native language, but stopped a few years ago. now, not did i only start again but also decided to write in english as a way to practice my writing and communication skills!

saw a post i wrote in 2023 about some updates since i've started writing in this blog and thought about writing updates since then. maybe making it a yearly thing, who knows?

since then, i not only visited a different country for the first time but actually visited three countries!! i was finally able to move in my own apartment, got a promotion at my job and i'll hopefully finish university this year. and oh! i adopted a cat :) and he's my little love. besides all of that, my darling moved in with me for 6 beautiful months until returning to his home country - which i hope to move into soon!

my routine is pretty exhaustive and draining, but i wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. things aren't perfect, but they're good enough. i think i wouldn't ever dream to be at this stage in my life if you asked me years ago.

when i started this blog i felt so lost and alone, the pandemic had really hit me hard with isolation feelings and thinking that maybe the sadness and loneliness wouldn't ever go away. i felt like maybe it was only possible to live life in my dreams.

today i think it is possible to have this life. and im glad i do.

cannot believe how much has changed since my last post in this tumblr!

2021 was an extremely delicate phase as i dealt with unresolved trauma that resonated into pretty much everything i did. 2022 changed my life completely and 2023 has been being a hill of emotions.

met my dear who was able to understand my relationship with fandoms and how much they mattered to me and showed me i was worthy of love. ive then travelled the atlantic ocean to see him for the first time and now in 3 days away of received his visit.

i finally learnt a fourth language. got super better at spanish. quit a toxic job. visited a new country for the 1st time.

things are not perfect but stable. i love stability.

and this is it for today lol just an update for myself as i know ill ready this next year.

if you find this post could u recommend me your favorite fanfic in spanish, italian or french? i'm trying to learn both languages and i think fanfictions would be helpful since it helped me a lot with english. my 2022 goal is to know how to fully express myself in the majority of the romance languages, since i'm already a portuguese native speaker.

I’m just going to say it—I better not see anyone in this fandom shitting on whoever gets casted as Percy solely based on his looks. He’s already going to get enough criticism as it is. If he’s poc, he’ll get backlash. If he’s white, he’ll get backlash. He shouldn’t get ANY backlash, but the Internet has zero critical thinking skills. Whatever happens, please please remember it is not the poor boy’s fault for being chosen for the role, and aim any complaints at those ACTUALLY in charge.
