Hello?? Can anyone hear me???
Sharecropping.
FYI if your employer does this, if they have done it for a long time especially, you and your coworkers could be owed huge amounts of unpaid wages and it would be an easy suit if there is a paper trail like this and your employer is placing strict requirements on your behavior while not at work. Employment lawyers generally work on contingency. Just food for thought.
A national park I worked at had all the permanent rangers (I was seasonal) basically on stand by for call outs 24-7 or they were penalized on their reviews.
They got tired of it, sued, won, and the nps had to pay back YEARS of back wages for stand by time. Now they are all scheduled and if* you get called out its time and a half.
ONLY because some rangers stood up.
If your employer does this: document document document, then find an attorney

Good bitch, I'm glad none of your people have an ounce of loyalty to you
does that suck, mark? is it not fun to have your privacy violated? do you feel uncomfortable with people knowing things about you that you'd rather they not know? tell me more about how much you value your security and privacy, mark.
I see so many online wearing so little clothing, some even none at all. I will buy them large coats to keep them warm. We must protect the weak from baring harsh winters.

I hate when I open a drawing app and try drawing something and then it looks bad. to solve this issue instead of opening my drawing app I simply lay down, do nothing, and feel a combination of guilt/shame. this is a skill I am much more practiced at
wait, so it's like gambling?
it appears so!
that's so awesome I really gotta make more art
isabelle i literally have no idea what you’re talking about
Had a revelation recently and thought it might help other people too.
There is absolutely NO shame in having a ton of projects on the go and switching between or even dropping them on a whim.
Hobbies are meant to be FUN.
You can have 20 writing projects, or knitting, or whatever your thing is, and putting them down for a bit or abandoning them is a-okay.
I personally would never think that someone who started playing a video game and then decided to play another before it was finished was a quitter, so why am I so judgemental towards myself?
Doing your hobbies in a way that brings you joy isn't selfish or weak, it's...literally the whole point of them. Go nuts!

May I introduce you to my favourite Calvin and Hobbes strip which only got funnier when I got hearing aids.
wait actually i gotta reblog this again i just remembered an additional fun fact. sunday funnies pages were not created equal; some allotted less space than others. to make space? they would literally chop off parts of the comics. this is why many sunday strips have a Big Title Bar at the top, bc that was usually the part that got cut off. comic artists essentially had to account for that a big chunk of their strip was Optional Bonus Material that couldn't be relevant to the plot or punchline of the strip.
bill watterson? HATED this. he was in a constant battle with the presses to keep his strips intact. he eventually won this battle, forcing any paper that wanted to run calvin & hobbes to print the full strip. but in the meantime, you would get protest strips, where the top bar is essential for the comic to make any sense at all.
this? is almost definitely one of those. please picture with me living in a town with one of the newspapers that cuts off the top bar. imagine seeing this comic WITHOUT the top panel.
Advice I gave someone today was: 'do it stupid.'
She wants to learn photography. Do it stupid. Take a million photos. Don't think about why they're not good. Enjoy the process of taking photos.
Pick out tge ones you like the most and figure out why you like them. Is it because the subject is centered? Is it because you caught them doing something cool? Is it because the light made cool shadows?
Do it stupid. If you try to do it smart, youll get stuck. If you think too much you'll never get to doing. Do it stupid.
This got funny again now that tumblr shows posting dates.
The holy grail of searching through academic literature is coming across a string of publications that are like:
Here’s An Idea. Smith et al. 2016
Terrible Idea; a comment on Smith et al. 2016. Johnson 2016.
You’re Wrong Too; a response to Johnson 2016. Nelson 2016.
Guys Just Stop Fighting, None Of Us Know What’s Going On; a Review of the Current Literature. McBrien 2017.
Not even an exaggeration.

is it anyone on tumblr named Brian?
is there anyone logged in right now who has the name Brian
Not a Brian, but I’m spreading this to help you find one
it is appreciated
I'm trying out some new names, I can be Brian for a few minutes if that would help
If it's not too much trouble, yeah that would help a lot. the Brian count is desperately low. even just a few minutes might attract a new Brian
