Here you’ll find; Feminism, trans topics, cars (usually rally stuff), Magic: The Gathering, Fallout 4, MCR and women, a lot of women.
I don’t think that the left/right wing spectrum is always the best way to describe political leanings, so I’ll just say that in the last UK election, I voted Green (read about them here!)
I don’t debate, but I’m willing to have conversations.
I try to tag spoilers and heavy topics but some slip through.
I don’t have a DNI, and I also don’t tend to scope out blogs before I reblog from them or follow them, because I used to do that, and it was exhausting. Reblogging from someone therefore doesn’t mean I 100% agree with them on everything, it also doesn’t mean I 100% disagree with them.
If you’re curious, here’s a list of some opinions I have on trans issues and feminism all in one place (liable to nuance and change), otherwise, enjoy your stay and have a great day!✨
· Gender Dysphoria is real and no one deserves to deal with that pain, nor bullied or misgendered for being trans.
· Sex is real, as is sex-based oppression and sex-based sexuality, and it is homophobic to ask homosexual men and women to “examine their preferences”, people who say this sound like conversion therapists.
· Transition can sometimes help people, but the evidence is not looking great (X, X, X), more research needs to be done and the standards of care for trans healthcare need to improve greatly.
· Improving trans medicine improves trans lives, saying that the science is settled is fundamentally anti-science.
· The detransition rate is unknown (X)
· I am an avid supporter of eco-feminism, I believe there is an intrinsic link between the way that the patriarchy treats the earth and the way it treats women and by tackling the gender stereotypes surrounding environmentalism and by putting more women in charge of making environmental decisions, we can stop the degradation of women and the Earth at the same time.
· I am pro-choice on the topic of abortion; pregnant people should be granted immediate safe access to medical healthcare without legal repercussions in order to facilitate an abortion for any reason.
· I am anti-porn; I think it significantly impacts how you view everyone including yourself, it’s a sure-fire way to internalize misogyny for example. There’s also no way to make it completely safe and unexpoitable. I think there’s nuance when it comes to “written” porn though.
· I’m not a separatist, but I support other separatists and think there’s significant value in it, especially for lesbians and female exclusive bisexuals.
. I support the abolition of gender, as in, the socially constructed roles, stereotypes and ideas attributed to the sexes.
You gotta be really publicly passionate about things if you want your friends to text you. Bc people will forget to text you because they’re human. But if you’re really openly the friend who loves identifying ants your friends will think of you when they see ants. And they’ll text you “what ant is this [blurry photo]”. And then they’ll ask you how you’ve been and we should get coffee sometime. But if they don’t know what you love they’ll never know what you like
Becoming a tradeswoman was inadvertently one of the biggest dysphoria killers and I think contributed greatly to my detransitioning. I really recommend it to any woman looking to feel strong and capable. There are trades programs just for women out there, and there are ways you can find work where you don't have to be around shitty construction worker type dudes all day (although inevitably you will have to do a bit of that too but I guess it does make you get a thick skin)
it's so surreal that when you talk to the women around you, so many of them actually hold a lot of radfem beliefs and stances, but they either don't know how to call it or are afraid of being labelled as a terf
i wonder if radical feminism wasn't as demonised as it is now - almost equal to fascism in some circles - how our female solidarity would look like?
imagine if we didn't possess this veil of shame, insecurity about male approval and could collectively look at the damage caused by patriarchy. spit on it, grieve what has been lost, then burn it down and start anew.
It's a lot healthier to go for a daily walk than to sign up for a gym membership you won't be using because you hate that kind of exercise. It's a lot healthier to eat a frozen meal than to skip a meal because you were too tired to cook something healthy. It's a lot healthier to take a quick shower than to procrastinate an elaborate routine for days. Don't aim so high that you won't be hitting anything!
