He wasn’t so bad after all, AJ thought. She was expecting the worst earlier, that he would be rude to her, or even let her do all the work, probably because she acted not so kind earlier, but he definitely wasn’t something she thought he was. Maybe she should be nicer to him after all. Maybe.
Truth to be told, she just wanted to get over with it, and so she just nodded, taking note of what he just said. “That’s-- a lot of work.” She voiced out, biting her bottom lip as she watched him adding the books into the trolley, and so she did it as well, placing the other books carefully.
“I think everything’s there, unless you have more that are not here on the desk?” she asked, her eyebrow raised as she looked at him. “Lead the way, then?” she stood beside, letting him push the trolley himself since she knew that would weigh a lot, and he was the guy after all.
And When It Rains...| Bom&AJ

A frustrating sigh escaped from her lips – probably the hundredth time already, as she stared blankly at the flooded ground, watching the droplets of rain falling on the pavement. Her legs felt numb already from too much standing, and that’s when she realized she was probably standing there for a long time already. She felt hopeless, not to mention terrible since she’s literally showering in the rain – she was already done blaming herself for her carelessness in forgetting her umbrella which she did earlier, and now that she was once again reminded about her own stupidity, once again, she cursed under her breathe.
This is probably worst day ever, how unlucky of her to forget her umbrella, to get caught up with a storm like this, and most of all – how unlucky of her to get stranded on the street like this, she was obviously not amused, it was giving her never-ending frustration – just even thinking about how she missed the bus earlier and seeing that there wasn’t any bus coming after at all.
However, the sudden voice that spoke out of nowhere did caught her off guard, and it took her a few seconds to react since she was obviously spacing out earlier, “AJ.” She simply replied, not even giving her a look or anything. Her gaze remained at the rising flood on the side street, and after a few seconds of staring – her frustration was replaced with worry, what should she do now? It was pretty obvious that the bus was now not an option, and she doubt that there’s a next trip on the way, considering the rising flood and it’s been an hour already, she was feeling even more hopeless than earlier.
“Would i—“ she replied almost instantly, but her words were cut off.
Would I be here standing in the rain and wait for the bus for an hour if I actually live nearby, seriously.
Her sarcastic thoughts, however, were left unsaid. Mainly because she just had a great idea in mind. Her idea popped out in her head after she her eyes trailed off, noticing a nearby hotel just a few blocks away from where they standing. It wasn’t the greatest idea ever, but – it was definitely a better idea. Better than standing here and waiting for nothing. All she need to do is to gather some courage for her to say her idea to a stranger.
“Nevermind, say – I know this is pretty weird, and i don’t think there’s any next bus trip anymore, the flood is getting worse, and uh—“ she heaved a sigh, “This is pretty embarrassing to say, you know I’m just a uni student who works part time at a bar and I don’t have enough money for a hotel and you seemed to be on the same boat as me so –“ she closed her eyes for a few seconds, once again, heaving a sigh. She haven’t done this before, asking a stranger like this – but what else could she do, right?
“Would you mind sharing a room with me?”

A heavy sigh had escaped past her lips. It was pretty obvious that she wasn’t okay. AJ really wanted to scold her for being so careless at this very moment, but she knew it wasn’t the right time, maybe next time when she’s in the right state of mind.
AJ contemplated for a second – she doubt that Byul could even hold any longer, she was aware that her colleague was drugged, and the drug was obviously taking effect upon seeing her current state. She couldn’t remember the way to the latter’s home, and she doubt that the girl could even show AJ the way at her current state.
Why does she even care in the first place? Were they even friends? Maybe. They walked home together that one evening, but after that – there wasn’t any interaction at all. Maybe they had a few hellos, goodbye, some hand waving and such, but other than that – they never really had a conversation after that one evening, even so – she couldn’t really help but to feel worried about her. Maybe she cared because they were colleagues after all. That is probably the safest answer to her question.
But enough about the reasoning, it wasn’t the right time to think about that, she should think about what to do with the latter, and so after a few seconds of thinking, she decided to just bring the girl into AJ’s apartment, she didn’t really had any choice anyway. It was better than leaving the girl behind, or somewhere in the club. That was just as worse as letting her being dragged by some random guy from the club.
Given the fact that the girl could not hold any longer, she scooped the cambion into her both arms, carrying her in a bridal style -- it was more convenient if she would just carry her all the way, she probably would pass out soon anyway. Her gaze remained forward, obviously avoiding the other’s eyes as she walked. AJ strugged a little bit at first, but she eventually managed.
The street was quiet, the defeaning silence around them didn’t do any good -- AJ felt more awkward, unsure whether Byul was even conscious or not anymore at this very moment, she was pretty anxious as to how the latter would react with AJ’s actions. She continued to walk, her pace a little slow because of the weight she was carrying.

As she arrived to the kitchen, her eyes filled with awe as she scanned the place. She was already impressed with the latter’s home earlier, but then seeing her kitchen did surprised her even more – not to mention the extravagant food the other seemed to be preparing. She wasn’t expecting that Bora would actually make something extravagant, it was comforting and she couldn’t help but to smile at her efforts.
Without hesitation, she did what she was told to – mixing the bowl that Bora has pointed out. She tried to mix it as careful as she could since if she does this her way, it would probably end up in a mess, she was the impatient person after all, and she always does things as fast as she could. Whenever she cooks omelette and such that requires mixing, she does it quickly and it always end up in a mess, leaving a few stains on the floor and on the counter top.
She just nodded at her instructions, taking note of everything since she didn’t want to mess up Bora’s efforts. Everything looks delicious, she thought. It made her mouth watery – it seems like Bora knows how to work her way in the kitchen. It was quite impressive. “Ah, no – I don’t cook most of the time. Though I must say I can cook something basic and easy to prepare but I chose not to, I always end up buying fastfood.”
“Yes, ma’am—“ she said, in a joking manner. Chuckling to her own words, “You really know your way around the kitchen, do you like cooking that much?” she asked curiously. “Yes, it suits you, you should take that job into consideration.” a soft, comforting smile forms on her lips as she glanced at the other. “I mean, I did mean what I said – it wasn’t supposed to be a joke. Why don’t you consider it then? What’s your dream job, anyway?” her gaze averted – eyes glued to the food she was preparing, after she was done she did what she was told, spreading them carefully on top of the slices of bread. She then opened the oven, carefully placing the tray inside.

AJ nodded, and without hesitation, she did what Soojung had sugggested. She went to the cabinet across her, picking up the utensils from where it was kept. The demon couldn’t help but to admire how everything was organized in the latter’s home.
Before she could even go to the dining table -- she looked at the other as soon as she asked her a question. “Hmm, i honestly don’t mind any. I’m not picky when it comes with food.” she nodded, a soft smile forming on her lips.
As long as you’re the one who’s going to cook, i don’t mind anything--
However, those words remained on her thoughts, thinking it was rather cheesy. She thought it was better left unsaid, and so she shook the thought off instead. “I--i’ll just place these on the dining table, i’ll be right back.” and she dashed away, doing as what she had told, placing them nicely on the dining table. It didn’t took her long enough to come back to the kitchen.
“Anything else?” she asked, stopping beside the latter, as she watched her do her cooking.

Honestly, AJ wasn’t really good with Mario Kart to begin with. Contrary to her love for video games, she’s actually a noob with the game, and Soojung could probably beat her in that game like most people do.
“Pasta sounds nice.” she nodded, she wasn’t a fan of pasta but then again -- it was the food she prefer over the others she mentioned. But nevertheless, she would definitely eat anything anyway, she wasn’t that picky with foods and she did wanted to taste her cooking after all.
But AJ does live alone -- but contrary to that, she still don’t know how to cook, or maybe she just didn’t want to try. The mention of ramen made her chuckle -- maybe because she’s actually guilty about it, she could obviously relate. Ramen was one of the few things she usually ate. but then again, she was very sure that everyone who lives alone pretty much eat ramen most of the time. She shook her head at her question. “I don’t have the patience to.” she confessed.
“Since you mentioned it, i definitely would love to try your kimchi though.” a grin forms on her lips as she glanced at her. “Can i help you with anything anyway?”

“I live here?“ she answered hesitantly. The demon didn’t know how to answer his question though, since technically the place she called home was now destructed, and all she could see was some ruins of the building that once stood there. The question, however, made her think about her home once again, wondering whether all her belongings were still there – below those ruins, although AJ wasn’t that sentimental, still she thought it would be nice to search for belongings that might still be there. Maybe when time permits, but right now, she (or maybe they, if the blond did want to tag along) probably should search for answers to her question – what exactly was happening? “Well, I live here before the destruction happened, of course.”
AJ wasn’t the one to ask for company at all, she was used to being alone after all but this time – it was an exception. She actually did wanted some company, someone that was on the same boat as her, someone that wasn’t aware of what was going on since she finds some sort of relief of having someone being in the same situation as her. “Do you mind if I tag along?” she asked, her teeth sunk into her bottom lip, hoping that the nephilim would say yes. Of course, If he didn’t want to – AJ would respect his decision and she would probably leave him alone and just stroll further.
But there was something that caught her attention in the midst of their conversation, a very strange noise, a grunt – she assumed. Were there more people other than them, perhaps? But then again, the noise didn’t gave her some relief, it gave her a sudden fear, she wasn’t so sure why. “D--did you hear that? W—what was that?” her pair of orbs left his, wary eyes scanning everywhere – head tilting from left to right hastily.
“I – I think we better go somewhere else, it doesn’t look safe here.” she wasn’t so sure why she said that it wasn’t safe there in the first place, maybe she just had the urge to get away from there, to get far away from those strange noise. Although the noise did made her curious, she wanted to find out what the hell was that but then again, she was too afraid to venture in, afraid of what she might discover.

They caught me off guard, *He shrugs lightly, deciding why not go on and add some extra details - AJ seemed really concerned* I was arguing with someone in the alley behind the club and at least six of them showed up and surrounded us. We managed to get away by going inside and disappearing in the crowd. They’re smart enough not to attack with so many civilians, *he looked over at you at the mention of food, realizing he was rather hungry himself* Sure, I could use something to eat,
ah, that’s why i don’t usually get into a fight with someone, unless it’s necessary. you’ll never know what could happen. ( / shakes her head in disapproval ) that’s actually a smart move, though. kudos. ( / lips curving into a thin smile as she gave the other a thumbs up, not even asking anymore questions about it, dropping the topic completely ) good. i think i’m kinda craving for ramen. ( / nods as she hugs herself, trying to warm herself up since the weather was colder than usual -- it was also the reason why she craved ramen after all ) oh, it’s this way! let’s go. ( / grabs a hold of the other’s hand in excitement as she pulled him along, walking briskly towards the ramen place, sitting on the seat near the window, gesturing the boy to sit across her ) what do you wanna have? my treat.
Amber - AS4U season 4 (x)
❝Another Shot - Amber & Victoria ❞
One of the reasons why AJ hated her job was probably because she need to socialize with people -- she was technically not the most sociable person on earth so she was having a hard time trying to be one. But today -- was a very different one -- probably because she had seen someone that caught her interest, and she couldn’t take her eyes off of her beauty. How can someone be this beautiful with just wearing such casual clothes? She didn’t really know why -- but she just finds herself being mesmerized, a smile of amusement grazing her lips at this very moment.
"Looks like someone’s having a bad day.” she spoke out of nowhere -- trying to actually initiate a conversation with this stranger. This is probably one of the few times she actually did that though. Her eyes diverts from the alcohol she was mixing, taking a quick glance at her and showing off a warm smile -- trying to appear friendlier than her usual cold appearance.
“Do you need more shots? What’s up with you? You looked like you’ve had a really bad day.”
Blackout + AJ (Amber)
—
Typical, everyday scenario for AJ really. She had seen different types of drunk people in her everyday work. And she wasn’t even bothered seeing this certain woman who seemed to be angry with the world, not even an inch. She probably have seen this scenario countless times already, and so she just shrugs her shoulders -- continuing her duties as a bartender.
And even though the woman was probably drunk already, she did not even stopped her from drinking more, in fact -- she even gives her more drinks. Mainly because it was her job to serve drinks after all. Caring or even pitying someone wasn’t included in her duties so therefore, as long as the customers were paying her -- she will serve them drinks. No matter how drunk they are, and so here she was tending to this certain woman’s orders -- more alcohol, even though she seemed like she was going to pass out sooner or later because of too much toxic in her system.
“Need anything else?” she asked casually, taking a quick glance at the customer. She was actually expecting she would ask for more drinks after all, and beat her to it.
