Racism in fandom spaces is actually insanely bad and if you ever try to downplay or avoid conversations about it because "fandom is supposed to be fun" then I'm not sorry to say this: You're adding on to the problem.

Not just "fuck ICE" but also "love immigrants"
ICE is a domestic terrorist group that promotes behaviors similar to literal slave catchers and nazis that needs to be stopped yesterday.
and
Immigrants are human beings who deserve no more or less love than anyone else on the planet.
u can be anti america without being racist to random black and indigenous ppl. btw.
after (i believe) more than a year, i finally have a pfp change 👍👍
i grew up around muslims, i am also trans and leftist.
people in every queer and trans community i go to set an expectation: i should ofrever abandon my muslim past, i should explicitly stop associating yourself with it whatsoever, you either get to be queer or you either get to be raised-muslim.
in reality, there's no such expectation for christianity, and none of them are ready to dismantle their "inner christian" in their heads as much as they expect be to dismantle my "inner muslim"
none fo them get to admit how most first world countries are culturally christian, because christianity is "default" to them, as well as first world, as well as white.
me having a complicated relationship with islam doesn't mean i absolutely despise every piece of it. it means i distanced myself from ummah, but won't hear islamic criticism from non ex muslims at all, because you expect us to dismantle "our inner muslims" in ways you aren't ready to dismantle imperialism and racism in you.
your expectation is us "acting white", you don't want us unless we're that, which means you don't want us at all.
a lot of people claiming to want to uplift brown queer voices and such don't procced to do anything meaningful for them, or for brown people at all. it's just virtue signaling, homonationalism. you'd only care of brown people being queer, and you want the "brown" part of it gone as much as possible.
a lot of people say they want the leftist agenda to stop being us centric and imperialist, but then it's just pretending to care about it. you already made is so little and unhearable you'd have to get out of your way to seek for us speaking. then you'd not seek or if you find us, you will just pass by. hoping someone else would amplify the voice you took from us? and that someone else would hope for that too, so what?
you want us only when we agree with everything usa says about us, you want us until our lives don't put you into too much discomfort. when they put you into too much discomfort, you don't ask why, you'll restore the comfort by banishing us again. your tolerability of us is so intricately conditional, to meet those a third worlder has to build themselves into a first worlder mindset. this is your (inter)nationalism hey.
anyway, islamophobia hurt me more than islam did. now what
must feel good as fuck to curse a prince for being rude to you while you were larping as an old woman for no reason
it's always "why do you pace so much" and never "how was the pacing was the pacing fun"
it's actually sickening how unremorseful and disgusting dharmendra pradhan is for not resigning himself, which i know people will say is to be expected of a politician but what the fuck man, he's out there touring puri and visiting the jagannath temple while sonam wangchuk lies in a fatal condition because of these idiots' incompetency and lack of accountability. no god is going to want to save you when you have the blood of innocent students on you hands, have some shame.
To all the people,
especially the youth of this country, please please contribute in any way you can. Share it in your family groups, post it on your socials, talk about it with people around you. If you can join peaceful protests, please do. If you can't, then at least try to make people aware of everything that's happening in OUR MAHAN DESH.
We all know how f*cked our education system, judiciary, and honestly the whole freaking country feel atp.
Every few weeks there's another paper leak, another protest, another case that people are angry about, another family asking for justice, and then somehow everyone just moves on like nothing happened. That's exactly what this freaking ahh failed system wants.
A distracted public is easier to ignore than an informed one.
And
Don't do this "NONCHALANT FINAL BOSS" shi
It just makes you someone who looked away while people your own age were out there fighting for things that affect all of us.
Your degree, your job, your safety, your future...none of these exist separately from what's happening in this country.
Please keep your aesthetics aside for some time. The perfectly curated feed can wait. Your stories aren't only for sunsets, concerts, and photo dumps. Use them to spread awareness too. You don't have to know everything or become an activist overnight. Just don't scroll past everything like it's someone else's problem.
It's our problem and we have to use our rights to find the solution...
Thank you.
not seeing a lot of people on here talking about ICE murdering another man yesterday. His name was Lorenzo Salgado Arajou. He was a Mexican man living in Huston Texas. He was killed at age 52 and lived the past 35 years here in the USA, and was in the process of obtaining a work permit. He was shot and killed during a traffic stop that ICE claims was part of a targeted operation, and claimed he was “weaponizing his vehicle”- the same claim ICE agents made when they shot and murdered Renee Good.
During the stop, Lorenzo had 3 coworkers with him in his truck who have all been taken into ICE custody.
His family described Lorenzo as a hardworking family man who didn’t deserve to be killed. All he wanted was to provide for his wife and see his sons become great people. His eldest son recognized his father by his cries and pleas when trying to identify who the victim was.
The Salgado Araujo family has set up a gofundme to help with funeral and legal costs, and to help keep their family supported since Lorenzo was the sole provider.

There is footage of unmarked ice chasing them to box them in. No siren, no way to know they have any authority. ICE rammed the side of the vehicle then executed the driver. After, they lied that the van rammed them, but there is zero damage to the front and clear damage where ICE rammed the sides.
The witnesses being held are being pressured to "self deport" as part of the cover up and ICE is refusing to cooperate with state and local police.
They already moved the ramming vehicle and the agents who did the dangerous illegal stop and murder out of state also as part of the cover up.
It is just like Minnesota and they are hoping no one will notice or care.
Remember him.

this has probably already been said (?) but giving a character trauma doesn’t automatically make them complex or well-written
