"Two years ago, all communications with Mobius stopped. Silence hit all the radio lines. We lost communication with all satellites orbiting it. A black cloud engulfed the planet, hiding its previously scenic landscapes with darkness. Where there wasn't black, one would see electricity and thunder echoing across. A dark curse descended on Mobius. Nobody knew if there were any survivors, no contact could be made. Most folks wrote off the planet as cursed while others decried it some kind of environmental disaster and used the tragedy of Mobius as a warning.
There were only a few people who actually knew what happened and those that did either kept it to their hearts, forgot or simply knew they couldn't have done anything to prevent it.
Zool, Ninja of the Nth Dimension and galactic traveller came upon Mobius after a solitary signal managed to reach the Nth dimension, Zool sprang into action, taking his ship to the planet's orbit. Thinking its the work of Mental Block, Zool decided to assemble a team of pseudo-Mobians called the Z-Listers to land on the planet to investigate. When Zool finds out that it's not Mental Block, but an eldritch entity he seeks to vanquish it and free Mobius."
Oh hey, a whole 'nother novel idea. I have no intention of writing this btw. This was just an idea I got in my head. If you read the way my book Operation Teardown ends than this will probably make a lot of sense.
Spoilers: Following the completion of Operation Teardown, S (Sonic.exe) was brought into real life where he could modify reality at will. No longer trapped in a digital realm he traveled to Mobius where he intended to remake it in his own image. While Geist, Tabi and other members of the Carnival are aware of this they either don't care or don't think there's anything they could do. In Displo's case he knew there would be no saving Mobius. It was something he couldn't prevent.
The gist of the story is that Zool, alongside the Z-Listers (Zool's group of Plok the King of Akrillic, Socket the Time Dominator and other Sonic-like mascots) land on Mobius and engage in a battle against Sonic.exe. This book would take place 2 years after the events of Operation Teardown.
Zool is one of the few characters that would have the ability to square off against S. As a being of the Nth dimension, Zool is immune to most eldritch energies and the kinds of things S would conjure. He doesn't just exist in 3-dimenions and like S would be able to fight in other realms and dimensions alien to carbon-based lifeforms.
Not to mention, Zool's entire mindset would be so alien to S' gratuitous violence it wouldn't phase him. Remember, Zool's nemesis is Mental Block, a character whose entire being was to render the universe boring and dull. Therefore, Zool is the opposite, theoretically an adrenaline-seeking, transcendant being who enjoys all. He's like the polar opposite of Sonic.exe's evil.
The only other thing I know for certain about the story is that Socket would play a huge role with his mastery of time and that in the final battle, S would make silhouettes of the Carnival members to fight Zool as he comes to realize that they were the only friends he ever had. It turns the fight depressing but Zool has no idea who the Carnival was. S will likely break down crying in the final battle.
Anyways, enjoy this cover I made for the book. I modeled Zool. Can't recall who made that Sonic.exe but I'm pretty sure it was just a modified official model anyway.
