The Celestial System (Expansion Explained)
Alright.
The original Celestial System Expansion was deleted as per the wishes of @juparian, but people have been requesting explanations for the flags and their meanings anyway, which tells me the expansion is still gaining traction despite me saying (rather quietly) that I deleted it.
So as I put this out please note that using these flags and terms aren’t approved by them, and are 100% my coinage. I’d really like if you guys used their terms and flags if you can, instead of mine, because the idea is originally theirs and I can’t say that it was the best idea in the world for me to try and expand on it. I’ll say I did ask several times if I could expand the idea, across several months, but never received a response, and promptly made and then posted the expansion anyway. That was a douche move. Not even gonna make an excuse, it was a rude thing to do.
But anyway.
If you want you can just treat my expansion like a completely different thing? I don’t know how people are taking it now, I don’t receive notes for that post at all because it’s, well, gone. At the very least please nod to juparian for coming up with the original idea and they probably don’t want you using my ‘replacement’ flags. Throwing that out there for now. But if you really do like and want to use them, that’s fine I guess. Just be respectful.
That disclaimer out of the way here’s the ORIGINAL Celestial System and its flags/definitions.
JUPARIAN - A nonbinary gender that is linked to softer celestial masculine energy. It is never hyper masculine and it’s not male-aligned nonbinary, but instead is simply linked. Someone who is juparian can feel different amounts of masculine energy at different times.
LUNETTIAN - A nonbinary gender that is linked to softer celestial feminine energy. It is never hyper feminine and it’s not female-aligned nonbinary, but instead is simply linked. Someone who is lunettian can feel different amounts of feminine energy at different times.
MERCURIAN - A nonbinary gender that is connected to a softer celestial energy. This energy can feel “gendered”, but is neither masculine or feminine. Someone who is Mercurian can also be “void” of gender itself.
SATURNIAN - A nonbinary gender that is linked to both softer celestial masculine and feminine energy. Like the others it is not masculine/feminine aligned, simply linked. And the amount of energy one feels can vary and change. (also spelled Saturnarian, I’ve seen)
NEPTUNIAN - A nonbinary gender that is linked to the void and fluctuates with softer celestial masculine energy.
VENUSIAN - A nonbinary gender that is linked to the void and fluctuates with softer celestial feminine energy.
CELESTARIAN - A gender that is a combination of juparian, lunettian, and mercurian. Someone who is celestarian can be fluid between all three/feel different amounts of each at different times.
MERLUNETTIAN - Someone who is both and/or between lunettian and mercurian.
MERJUPARIAN - Someone who is both and/or fluid between juparian and mercurian.
JUPARETTIAN - Someone who is both and/or fluid between juparian and lunettian.
Starfluid was actually coined by someone else entirely, but it was basically ‘to be fluid between the celestial genders.’ I think that’s actually just a fluid version of Stargender, which is a completely different concept altogether and has nothing to do with the Celestial System whatsoever. I don’t know why it’s on the original graphic but that graphic is wrong anyway.
Now for my additions, which once again, are not official nor approved, so be respectful if you do want to use them.
JUPARIAN - A nonbinary gender that is linked to softer celestial masculine energy. It is never hyper masculine and it’s not male-aligned nonbinary, but instead is simply linked. Someone who is juparian can feel different amounts of masculine energy at different times. Colors are based off of the planet Jupiter.
LUNETTIAN - A nonbinary gender that is linked to softer celestial feminine energy. It is never hyper feminine and it’s not female-aligned nonbinary, but instead is simply linked. Someone who is lunettian can feel different amounts of feminine energy at different times. Colors are based off of Earth’s moon.
MERCURIAN - A nonbinary gender that is connected to a softer celestial energy. This energy can feel “gendered”, but is neither masculine or feminine. The colors are based off of the planet Mercury. (This definition is wrong.)
NEPTUNIAN - Someone who is both and/or fluid between juparian and mercurian. The colors are based off of the planet Neptune. (This definition is wrong.)
VENUSIAN - Someone who is both and/or fluid between juparian and lunettian. The colors are based off of the planet Venus. (This definition is wrong.)
SATURNIAN - Someone who is both and/or between lunettian and mercurian. The colors are based off of the planet Saturn. (This definition is wrong.)
CELESTARIAN - A gender that is a combination of juparian, lunettian, and mercurian. The colors are based off of the colors stars twinkle at night.
KUIPERIAN - A gender that is fluid between multiple soft celestial energies. The colors are based off of nebulae. The name is based off of the Kuiper Belt, which has thousands of unique and different asteroids, like all the unique genders one can experience.
PLUTOIAN - A gender that is filled with the energy of the void. Someone who is Plutoian can also be “void” of gender itself, or uncertain of their celestial energy. It’s also for those who have no celestial energy, or whose celestial energy is like that of a black hole or a gap, the absence of all, but still having celestial energy. The colors are based off of the dwarf planet Pluto. This is also called Plutian. (Think of this one as agender, gendervoid, neutral, nullgender or quoigender. Plutoian+some other type of energy can count as a form of demigender.)
CERESIAN - A gender that is both plutoian and lunettian. The colors are based off of the dwarf planet Ceres. (Think of this as demi-lunettian.)
SONNIAN - A gender that is both juparian and plutoian. The colors are based off of the sun’s ‘type’ in the star spectrum. (The sun is a main sequence yellow dwarf star.) (Think of this as demi-juparian.) This is also called Sonnean.
OURANIAN - A gender that is both plutoian and mercurian. The colors are based off of the planet Uranus. (Think of this as demi-mercurian.) The name is based off of the god Ouranos, which is what Uranus’s name is also based from. (Pronounced ore-ayn-ian)
TERRAEAN - A gender that is juparian, lunettian and plutoian. The colors are based off of the planet Earth. The name is based off of Terra, which is the Latin word for Earth (also spelled Terre or Terrae). (Think of this as demi-juparettian or demi-saturnian.) (Pronounced terr-ae-un) This is also called Terrean or Terran.
MARSEAN - A gender that is juparian, mercurian and plutoian. The colors are based off of the planet Mars. (Think of this as demi-merjuparian or demi-neptunian).
ERISIAN - A gender that is lunettian, mercurian and plutoian. The colors are based off of the dwarf planet Eris. (Think of this as demi-merlunettian or demi-venusian).
ASTEROIDIAN - A gender that is lunettian, mercurian, juparian and plutoian. The colors are based off of meteors as they enter the atmosphere. (Think of this as demi-celestarian). This can also be called Asterian.
The graph now looks like this.
Here it is with gender symbols for easier recognition.
In case it was complicated or the images aren’t loading:
Juparian = masc Lunettian = fem Mercurian = neither but still gendered (nonbinary) Plutoian = agender/gendervoid/demi- Venusian = fem+nonbinary Saturnian = masc+fem Celestarian = masc+fem+nonbinary Neptunian = masc+nonbinary Sonnean = demi-masc Terraean = demi-(masc+fem) Ceresian = demi-fem Erisian = demi-(fem+nonbinary) Ouranian = demi-nonbinary Asteroidian = demi-(masc+fem+nonbinary) Kuiperian = fluid between energies
I’m gonna say it again: This design is based off of juparian’s concept, and is not approved by them. If you use this one, make it clear it isn’t theirs but mine, and show respect to juparian by using their idea first, if their terms/flags fit you.

Using Aspect Symbols to Build Sigils
A sigil is a magical symbol that causes an effect. Sigils are often charged, or given magical energy to carry out its effect. Sigils can be charged and created in a lot of different ways.
One of the most popular ways to create a sigil is to combine pre-existing symbols– such as letters,
I often create sigils using the Homestuck aspect symbols. The aspect symbols all carry certain connotations, and when combined with eachother or other symbols, they can be used to build up certain meanings.
Here are some examples:
This sigil, made to speed up healing, is a combination of three symbols. The Homestuck Aspects “Life” and “Hope”’ and the Caduceus symbol (the symbol that Calliope wears.) Life is associated with healing and, of course, life. Hope can be associated with goodness and through its wings, speed. And the Caduceus symbol is related to medical healing as well. By combining these elements, I have created a sigil that is directed to “heal fast.”
It’s important when making a sigil, to give them instructions set in the present tense. (”I heal fast.” rather than “I will heal fast.”) Setting instructions in future tense might mean they never come to be, as they will always be in the future.
There are 12 canon homestuck aspects, and they each have a unique symbol. When you use them for sigils, you do not need to draw the entire symbol. You can simplify, or take only bits and pieces to combine them. For example, if you were trying to combine the “mind” and “heart” symbols you might take only the aspect of the half full/half empty of the heart to create this…
The possibilities on how to combine symbols is endless, making every sigil very unique.
Here are some ideas of what concepts are associated with the aspect symbols, so that you can use them as a symbolic language to create sigils. They are listed in the order are they are shown above.
Breath: Air, Inspiration, Calmness, Fluidity/Flexibility, Transparency/Clearness
Light: Fortune/Luck, Understanding, Wealth, Completion
Time: Time, Cycles, Inevitability, Connections
Space: Space (either dimensional or outer space), Freedom, Isolation, Infinity
Mind: Mental Health, Thoughts, Knowledge
Heart: Souls, Feelings, Emotion
Life: Life, Health, Birth, Creation, Plants and Animals
Void: “Lack of…”, the Unknown, Endings and “after the endings”
Hope: Hope, Positive Feelings, Swiftness, Imagination, Righteousness
Doom: Death, Destruction, Misfortune
Blood: Bonds, Hurt/Damage, Friendship, Relationships, Loyalty
Rage: Aggression, Anger, Capriciousness, Instinct, Violence
These are only some ideas of what the aspects symbols can be related to, and if you have personal headcanons/thoughts on them, of course you can use those in your sigil creation as well! Combine Homestuck aspects with other symbols you might be aware of (letters, other occult symbols, anything) and you can create a sigil for pretty much any purpose.
Hope this helps!

“Tumblr witch” taken into custody over Collecting Human Bones
Outrage erupted on Tumblr after a user posted on a Facebook group that they had collected some human remains, and that they could ship them to other Wiccans. The person in question, who goes by Ender Darling, was taken into custody in July after bio-archaeological analysis confirmed that the bones that were seized from their home are human. The arrest was for trafficking human remains, but the court date is coming up later in September. After the controversy, nicknamed “boneghazi,” it became illegal in Darling’s state of Lousiana to even own human remains. (Read the bill here.)
Image is of a cow bone.
I have a lot of thoughts about this so bear with me while I try to articulate (heheheh) all of them
1) Historical issues. First thing’s first, let’s talk about this cemetery. They’re right in saying that this is a unique cemetery, as this one is full of below-ground burials, and most of Louisiana have above-ground tombs. This means, that yes, this is a “poor man’s graveyard.” Now, I wonder, who are those poor men? In Louisiana, in 1879?? That’s right, this cemetery is full of black people, including Jessie Hill, Buddy Bolton, and, briefly, Robert Charles, to name a few.
Grave robbers have always been a concern to people who bury their loved ones, and, if you’re poor, all you can really do is hope.
So it makes me so angry that this person is saying this is a “literal witch hunt” trying to make it seem like law enforcement is being prejudiced against witches, while at the same time taking advantage of the historical poverty of black people. None of these are “leftover remains,” this is an important, historical site that should be treated with respect and care. Even the professionals (archeologists/anthropologists) take huge care to not damage the remains or the cultural context in which they were found.
In fact, when a historical/ancient burial is found, ESPECIALLY if it is Native Indian, the goal is to get it reburied as fast as possible. (If you want to know more about this, I suggest reading up on the Kennewick Man)
2) Modern bone market. I love bones as much as the next lady, but I refuse to own real human remains, even if they come from “reliable sources,” (meaning they aren’t looted). Why? What do you think drives someone to be willing to sell their loved one’s remains? Again, this comes back to the idea of major global poverty. I’m trying to find my info about it now, so if you’re super interested about it stay tuned and I’ll find some stuff I have about the modern bone market.
3) Implications of new law for other people. Louisiana, as most know, has a huge population of voodoo practitioners, as well as traditional African beliefs brought over during the slave trade (Afro-diasporic Cultures). This is important because a lot of these religions practice ancestor worship. Do you know what’s important in ancestor worship? The remains. By disrespecting this cemetery and those it contains, this person has made it so much more difficult for an already marginalized group to practice their beliefs in peace.
So, I’m super mad.
IF YOU SEE BONES: 1) Call the police. Use the non-emergency line (the person is already dead, they won’t get deadder by waiting), and let them know, like, “hey, I’m walking by the cemetery and there’s some bones. They probably got washed up by the rain, but maybe come out just to be sure,” (a surprising amount of criminals bury their victims in cemeteries). The police will be there, along with a state archeologist or anthropologist to take care of the remains. Congrats, you’ve either helped to solve a crime, or prevent one.
2) On that note, if you come across bits of pottery or arrowheads, it is actually illegal to take them and double-illegal to sell them. Leave them where they are, and call your state historical preservation office.
“But I really want bones!”
Animal bones are a great place to start! These are pretty dang easy to scavenge for! But, please, for the love of Gd, don’t use bleach on them. Please. You’ll ruin them that way.
Still want real human bones? Tough luck.
I will always highly recommend Bone Clones for human AND animal bone replicas. They do a fantastic job and I need to get me a trephinated skull soon.
But, back to the point: There was exactly no need for this. They were acting from a place of privilege and selfishness, and just made life a lot more difficult for a lot of people who are actually doing nothing wrong. the bones aren’t yours?? They’re meant to be in a grave?? Leave them there.
Good insight, but let me add a little more. 1. If you want to know more about the sources of human remains, check out this Wired article Inside India’s Underground Trade in Human Remains. It is also a chapter in Scott Carney’s book, The Red Market (one of my new favorite books, seriously.) 2. But if you have more questions about modern trade in human remains, and how people are getting them, and why they want them, I recommend this National Geographic Article Human Skulls Are Being Sold Online, But is it Legal? (written by Yours Truly, so you know it’s good!) 3. I can’t say I’d recommend calling the cops every time you find bones….I guess try to determine through provenance if they’re human or not…was there recently a graveyard flood? Or are you on a game reserve? My friend found a spine in the forest and thought about calling the cops, but it was a deer. 4. One thing that I want to say about the new law. The Lousiana Bill was written long before Ender Darling. When I asked one of the authors of the bill, Ryan Seidemann, if Darling was an inspiration for it, he said no. When I asked if witchcraft was mentioned in the proceedings, or used as a justification for the bill, he said he couldn’t remember. The bill came out about the same time that Seidemann and Halling, who work in the state of Lousiana, published a study on the eBay trade in human remains. Did Darling’s case push the bill forward faster? I don’t know. But it was already in the works and I think it was inevitable.
This is all old news, but in case you’re curious what really happened with the “bone witch” or whatever.
Also I want to reiterate not to call the police every time you find a bone. Holy shit I would have called thousands of times by now. Call if you actually have a reason to think they’re more likely to be human than deer/cow/whatever lives near you.
