This is an AI powered product that, as a long time fencer, I really do not see the need for. At the highest levels, where this is likely hoping to be deployed (ie the Olympics), there are already rules set in place by the FIE for what is acceptable video playback analysis. Largely the referees and the players at these levels know what has happened already and only need to check plays in certain circumstances, just like in any other high level sport. Then again this kind of AI technology isn't being aimed at refs and players. It's being aimed at the audience to "look cool" and make fencing "like Star Wars."

Forgive me for saying it, but I just don't see how including flashy AI visuals purely for the audience's benefit somehow adds to the integrity of a match.
