Someday someone is going to want to worship you
The curve of your hip
The angle of your shoulder blade
The soft spot beneath the ear where it meets the neck
They'll fall in love with you for the crinkle of your eyes
The kindness in your voice
The passion in your heart
I am one such that I marvel at the expanse of your back when you move to look at something closely
The strength in your thighs as I kiss your soft belly
The softness of your hair as you lay in my lap
These quiet moments where your hands fit perfectly in mine
The weight of your arm across my chest as we sleep
When Your head sits on my shoulder
These times I cannot help but be overcome by wonder at the marvelous making of the person in front of me.
You make me think of poetry in all it's depth and rhythm
Where everyone finds their own meanings and heartbeat
Where even the praise of a thousand voices can fall on dead ears
Someday someone is going to want to worship you
They may be clumsy and uncoordinated
But in a quiet moment their eyes will crinkle with yours
Their fingers will whisper over the curves and angles of your body
Their presence will soothe the racing if your heart
They'll rest with you, walk with you, encourage you to do things that are messy, difficult, uncertain
They'll worship you in the best way they know how
And you'll learn
One day
That you are worthy of worship
