@ovisiphorus
a lot of people who say ānaziā as a tic/like itās going out of style are real comfortable with actual nazi rhetoric and imagery. interesting for sure
i should just outright say, at a baseline: if you believe literally ANY politician is just doing anything purely out of the goodness of their heart, you are a sucker. if you're savvy and sufficiently intelligent (which i like to assume my followers are) this is so obvious as to not even be worth mentioning. however, this is why, ultimately, the only thing you can really trust a politician on is their literal actions. what they say and whatever lip service they give is irrelevant; what they DO is what's important, and in that sense, whether or not their stated motives are sufficiently "pure" is kind of irrelevant.
A lot of online queer spaces are now full of the most 4Chan wretches you can imagine who are rude to everyone everywhere and convinced that people just not returning the rudeness with deference is oppression.
Many legitimately seem to be much more concerned with someone on Twitter telling them to fuck off than they are with actual laws being passed against them.
People can grow and change, etc! But you gotta actually do the growing and changing, not just fester.
@ Non-Americans (and self flagellating Americans) you have got stop using the words āYankā and āYankeeā when disparaging the United States, you sound like Robert E. Lee.
B-But but Republicans get to excuse their candidates being rapists! Why canāt we do the same thing?! *cartoon tasmanian devil style tantrum*
i wish there was a way to say "you're right, but this is really ineffective and even counterproductive messaging to anyone who doesn't already agree with you" without sounding like an asshole
I'm so bored of people pretending that using a stereotype is only bigoted if it's explicitly applied to all members of a marginalized group. "I didn't say all Jews are greedy whiny emasculated parasites who control the government with their money, I just said Zionists are." Guys.
itās an obvious cop-out because that has never actually functionally been the way these tropes worked.
The Protocols of the Elders of Zion doesnāt say āevery single Jew is in the Shadowy Cabal That Controls the Worldā, just that there is a shadowy Jewish-Zionist āJewish Supremacistā cabal that runs the world.
OG Medieval Blood Libel didnāt need to claim literally every Jew alive directly participated in murdering whatever Christian child had gone missing to get people to pogrom Jews; they just needed to claim the rabbis of the specific nearest Jewish community did.
The Doctorās Plot libel didnāt need to be directed at all Jews or even only Jewish doctors to create a pretext for the planned anti-Jewish purges.
Antisemitic rhetoric does not need to claim all Jews are guilty, just that prominent examples of Jews are, or any Jew could be, and the publicās suspicions & propensity to treat others as guilty-until-proven innocent will do the rest of the work.
this is my impression of what it would look like if the toddlers at my job could make traumacore edits about me
alright by popular demand here is more toddler traumacore
Well as a "fan" I would be "serviced" by some THEMES AND MOTIFS #themesandmotifs #artwithmeaning
The best part about turning 30 was, legitimately, unlocking the ability to use this image
four trans people walk into a movie theater ā¦
Reminds me of EEAAO.
Thereās a really good book all about this.
