More links, PLEASE reblog or repost and add more resources: OHCHR - Iran: Women and girls treated as second class citizens, reforms urgently needed, says UN expert Iran: Where the regime opposes women’s rights Read: The Wind In My Hair - My Fight For Freedom in Modern Iran by Masih Alinejad
Watch: Kiosk - Sweet Destiny (the movie) I don’t think I’ve ever asked my followers to reblog anything but this time it would mean. The actual world. To the people of Iran. If you could spread awareness of the Iranian people’s fight for freedom right now. I’m not on Twitter or Instagram (although this post is optimized for instagram so PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REPOST IT ON IG) but from what I could see there is not as much noise about this as it should be. Nor is it easy to find posts with resources and basic information. And on tumblr I’ve only seen some posts from dedicated feminist blogs or actual Iranians. And from what I’ve gathered they NEED US to share what’s going on. They are shutting down internet in Iran so it’s up to us to not let the world look past this, not this time. PLEASE join the fight for women’s rights!!!

why are you celebrating someone's death?
realizing cis women also struggle with “passing” a lot of times and has a lot of the same issues with dysphoria trans women have (issues with putting on/losing weight, dissatisfied with bust size, not feeling “feminine” enough, etc.) has done a lot to combat dysphoria for me, cause it’s like, wow, we really have a lot more in common than we have in difference huh
terfs are starting to find this post, and i gotta say: terfs getting mad at a post that explicitly acknowledges cis women’s struggles and with notes full of cis women agreeing and talking about their own struggles and experiences really speaks volumes about how anti-feminist, and frankly misogynistic, terfs really are, that they don’t even give a shit about cis women’s struggles and experiences
fuck terfs!
it’s fuck terf wednesday! Remember to ridicule the TERFs in your local area.
i hope that one day i will finally be ok….i’ll make a cherry pie when it is all over
today is the day
reblog the cherry pie to be ok
The cherry pie worked for me and here’s to hoping it’ll work for you too
Let the cherry pie do it’s magic
When I’m ok I’ll make a pear pie. Today isn’t the day, but I’m at the final stretch, I hope.
If you’re not keeping up, Cartoon Network sold off most of its original programming over the last few years to run exclusively on HBO Max, but after a merger with Discovery, HBO has taken them all down, including those that were still in production, for what is long story short a big tax write-off. And it’s not a simple matter of them just airing or streaming somewhere else now. It’s a very complicated issue of rights and contracts and money but essentially these shows may never, ever be available again outside piracy and their creators may never get money again. Some completed episodes may also be lost media. For a couple of series, such as Mao Mao and Infinity Train, Cartoon Network has gone back and scrubbed all tweets, youtube clips or other mention of the series existence, confirming they likely no longer have the rights to take them anywhere else. The tweet today by the creator of Tig N’ Seek made me saddest.
A lot of people this week have simply given up on their industry careers, seeing years of their life’s work just vanish into a corporate vault overnight. Being able to point to your work on a streaming service had apparently even become a pretty critical part of the portfolios they now rely on to get new jobs.
Streaming media went from an optimistic new frontier to even worse than cable TV so suddenly.
The reality of the situation is that as long as we let large corporations own our art, this will keep on happening. Capitalism puts artists in a position where it’s about appeasing the corporation they work for. When that corporation pulls the plug just to make sure you don’t get paid for the art you made, I think that sends a clear message to the artists of our next generation.
In the games industry, where I work, things aren’t quite this bad. But these subscription-based services that put big corporations in power are becoming more prominent each day.
Brain fog in the kitchen can mean anything from forgetting an ingredient to accidentally skipping a recipe step, plus much more. Here's how to bake successfully, even when you're feeling foggy.
A useful article from King Arthur Flour (my beloved) on baking while disabled.
This genuinely might make me cry. I already deeply appreciate King Arthur for making the best GF 1 for 1 flour. And having good recipes. But an article posted by them from someone with disabilities about how to do the thing even with disabilities? That’s just genuinely lovely. I know that my bad there is low, but it’s low for a reason and hopefully stuff like this can continue to raise that bar for disabled people like me.
The world is ruled by three things: money, power and sex
Somehow i care about none of them
And with just a small contribution, the world can be ruled by one thing: Me. Send $5 to help my cause and take over the world
With your help, I will personally abolish money, power, AND sex. Asexuals will rule this land, with me as their Asexual Overlord! MUAHAHAHAHA. All this and more with the power of science!
had a weird dream where I was somehow trapped in a Where's Waldo book Pride Month Edition. and the color motif was (obviously) rainbows set amidst the colorful crowds of a pride parade. and it must have been a fever dream of some variety bc like a complete fool i ran around and around, entwining myself every further in desperate urgency, hunting, hunting for the red-and-white stripped sweater of my prey, Waldo--and he was nowhere! nowhere i say! and then the strobe lights started up and the music was too loud and i was about to cry in frustration, i was tired and overwhelmed and where the FUCK was Waldo.
And there, on the center float--I saw them!!! But it wasn't Waldo, it was WENDY. she had transitioned and yes, was wearing a dorky pink-and-blue stripped sweater and she was beautiful just BEAUTIFUL I TELL YOU MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I (at which point i woke up and had to drink 2 cups of lukewarm tap water bc dehydration)
tldr i had an exhausting fever dream where I was looking for Where's Waldo at a pride parade but instead i found Where's Wendy wearing a trans pride sweater
I’m pretty sure Wendy is already the name of an established character in the Waldo canon but I like the idea that they’re the same person but from different time periods. Time travel is an established phenomenon in the WCU (Waldo Cinematic Universe) so it’s not too far fetched.
it turns out her name is Wenda and she is a Trans Icon
she may be a trans icon but she’s definitely not a fashion icon
HOW ABOUT NOW
i don’t want to be rich i don’t want to be famous i don’t want a million tiktok followers or what the fuck ever i just want a one bedroom apartment in a walkable community with neighbors i could borrow sugar from or bring cookies to when i bake extra and a job that i enjoy and that helps someone and pays me enough to afford my silly little one bedroom and groceries and something fun too at the end of the day and enough free time to sing and dance and read and write and spend time with the people i love and maybe have a dog and some plants to water and a shelf of books to read and a thrift store where i can buy weird clothes and faded denim jackets like i am not asking for anything big or grand or exciting i just want peace i want contentment i want just a little love how the fuck is this too much to ask for
god this like. it always feels so small when someone asks what I want from life but I just. want to be surrounded by people I love and do fun things and consume art and eat nice food and work a job I love that doesn’t simultaneously destroy my soul. I don’t want anything big I just want to be allowed exist as a person not just another cog in the capitalism machine
Kellogg’s is making a Twitch channel for Tony the Tiger as a vtuber. It is the moral duty of everyone who can spare the time to do so to spam the most vile, repulsive, unabashedly horny nonsense in the chat, such that this cannot be maintained. Hold the line against the continual corporate takeover of our media. Become unprofitable.
We already have the Tony the Tiger Vtuber, it’s Brennan Lee Mulligan in a tiger costume, and he’s an eldritch being beyond our comprehension.
Me and who
So when are we gonna talk about the east asian fetishism problem in white transfem spaces
fucking gutted to be asian and having to be within such close proximity to these spaces
still thinking about when someone on here made a post about "harmless facebook trans girl memes" and I was like "okay but some of these are sexualizing the school gym uniforms of japanese girls, specifically, here is an article talking about how this is a problem, maybe we should be considerate of this" and she blocked me over it immediately (I was being pretty conversational, so it was clear she just. Wasn't interested in having a conversation about this.)
it is wonderful to celebrate being LGBT, but, ultimately, being LGBT is value neutral. It is indicative of oppression, not content of character, and be wary of people who are trying to conflate those two things.
I’m glad ppl on tiktok are doing ok
good lord
YEAH I GOT NOTHING
i don’t understand a single sentence in this and i’m ok with that
I haven’t stopped saying “it’s called quantum jumping, babe”
I would genuinely like to know who to blame for making these children so disconnected from the concept of imagination that they think the simpler explanation for what they’re doing is that they’re projecting their consciousness into one of infinite realities where fictional characters are real.
topical :/
WHY IS IT TOPICAL
Me shouting at my rash ointment
great post everyone
Isn’t this the plot to Everything Everywhere All At Once?
