HOLY SHIT
@strawhat-giraffe
Gonna link back to the original video because it deserves all the views for how adorable and well made it is. I love this:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Icx7hBWeULM
This is from an ad for gender-neutral baby clothes, btw.
WHERE IS THE AD OP?!?
@exerian :Â There you go â
Ooh, I know someone with an occupied uterus who would appreciate these! Theyâre actually really cute!
from now on the only gender is goth
this video has 10,000 notes on tumblr but 1,600 dislikes on youtube. Câmon people! if you love this concept show Celine some love because otherwise her marketing team will think this idea was a failureÂ
oh hey your tweet is on tumblr now @bright-cactus
Seriously, like this video. Sheâs got like 900 likes and over 2000 dislikes and the comments are fucked up. She deserves some love. And honestly, if it means I can find cute shorts that are longer than an inch below the crotch for my daughter, Iâll be ecstatic
This is a gender neutral fashion line for kids, and itâs honestly pretty awesome. Itâs expensive (as celebrity fashion lines tend to be) but thereâs a lot of grey, black, and soft yellow and patterns that I would wear myself tbh.
Link for those to directly go to YouTube: https://youtu.be/vSdSFKj-hOc
Wait, am I interpreting this right - the gender-neutral clothing line is FROM Celine Dion, not just using her in an ad?
2018: the year we all stop hating Celine Dion.
wait, people were hating celine dion!?
Youâve never been to Canada, clearly.
No seriously, go like the video, itâs got 5k DISLIKES at this point and that is ridiculous. (Donât read the comments if youâre having a brain weasels day, itâs horrific.) Support gender-neutral lines of clothing even if you still donât like Celine, mkay?
Donât invite me anywhere last minute I enjoy doing nothing so I need to know ahead of time if my plan to do nothing needs to be changed
This is legit and people donât realize it.

Neat. I mean, I pirate a lot of media. Why not pirate some branded food, too.
What people think perfectionism is: Iâm going to do this 1,000 times until itâs completely perfect, and it doesnât matter how tired I am or how many times I fail. Everything I do is super precise and I have absolute confidence but also am super pedantic about getting it right.
What perfectionism actually is: If I donât get this right on the first try Iâm going to cry in a corner and call myself a failure for the rest of my life. Iâve gotten nothing productive done because of this.

This may look cute, but thatâs actually a really uncomfortable dog. The entire video is filled with avoidance behaviors (turning the head away), and the tension on the dogâs face (especially around the eyes and the base of the ears) once the egg is in itâs mouth is a dead giveaway. Yes, the dogâs tail wags a bit - but in this case itâs not a sign of the dog being happy. The dog is sitting stiffly, avoiding the personâs hands, and trying really hard to make the human happy while really uncomfortable.Â
I just took a few vids of Teener performing a âhold itâ that shows a really nice contrast against the demeanor of the golden retriever. Relaxed face muscles, soft eyes, no side glances, ears perked. Canât be sure why the golden looks so stressed, but if thatâs the face you are looking at when you are training or interacting your dog, youâre definitely doing something wrong.
These are a really great visual contrast to the first clip, thank you for adding them! You can see that while thereâs a little tension around Teenerâs mouth in these videos, itâs mostly focused at the back of the mouth - where he needs to keep muscle tension in order to hold onto things - rather than the entire skin of the lips, as the first dog shows. Teenerâs eyes are focused and the skin around them is taught in use, but itâs not a hard tightness. (In the first video, I canât quite tell what heâs holding, but it appears to be some sort of crunchy treat.)
A bunch of people in the notes questioned why it was important to talk about the first video. For those of you that did: youâre right in that the dog is not being abused, nor is it the end of the world that heâs being made uncomfortable for a little bit. But itâs still really important to teach people to understand how the body language of an uncomfortable dog differs from that of a truly happy one, because being able to telling the difference might matter quite a lot in another situation and be the difference between someone getting bit or not. Videos like the original one are actually super important in that learning process because theyâre an example of dog giving off mixed signals.Â
if you donât like having things shoved in your mouth, you shouldnât do it to your dog

Hey. LIVING COSTS MONEY! How about giving more money to the companies that employ me and MAYBE I MIGHT BE OK
This is such a funny thing to me because in Thai culture, itâs completely normal to live with your parents when youâre an adult. In fact, most people live in their family home until theyâre married ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Saaaame in Pakistan dude and being abroad for grad school is really fucking me up I am not built to be even slightly independent đ
In Western culture (including America!) it was completely normal for people to live with their parents in adulthoodâsometimes until they married, sometimes longer. In America, that changed (for men) in the 1940s and 50s, when it was really really easy for an 18 year old to get a good job that paid more than enough to live a comfortable life on, or to afford college which would then practically guarantee you an even better-paying job. Women joined the trend of moving out at 18 in the 1960s and 70s.
And now those jobs donât exist, or are few and far between, and guess what! People are living with their parents again. But that 70-year span was just long enough that it fell out of common memory, and now people are seen as âfailuresâ because the economics have changed.
A very great deal of Western culture, ESPECIALLY America, is actually still based on a memory of the 40âČs and 50âČs as the baseline of normalcy despite them being a total fluke at the time. World War II and McCarthyism created a massive shift towards rabid patriotism, Christian fundamentalism and the ideal of the ânuclear familyâ that resembled nothing before it and weâre still recovering from as the majority of our most powerful politicians are old enough that this period of sudden fanaticism is their ânostalgic good old daysâ and the way they think things are âsupposed to be.â
I love when these posts randomly become tiny history lessons, it soothes me
Mothers with husbands who donât fairly involve themselves in the childcare deserve to go out and have a social life. Youâll live through having to hear a baby in public.
Also babies are like, people too. They have the same right to be out in public that you do.
Letâs also not forget that babies are people who are growing. Their minds need the social interaction and stimuli. If you were forced to sit silently in a room where you could only interact with one person in a very specific way all day, youâd probably lose your shit. Babies are entitled to feeling, just like you. Remember: theyâre small defenseless creatures who do not have a concept of what it means to inconvenience some jackass at a restaurant. Just grow up and stop pretending like your hatred of children is justified!
