Me: man I wish I knew more of my neighbors better
My nine-year-old neighbor: *crashes mom’s car into my yard*
Me: Be careful what you wish for I suppose
Honestly my first draft of this post said “my neighbor’s son” and then I was like wait a second that’s functionally the same as saying “my cousin’s sister.” That’s still my cousin and that’s still my neighbor.
A few days ago someone remarked on me saying "10 year old people" in a post. We really do rarely use words for children that imply personhood or non familial social relations. There's always a ghost of a parent standing between the child and what you want to say.
call me crazy but i think public transportation should explicitly also be for actively drunk/high people. so they don’t, you know, drive under the influence.
i literally don’t care how afraid you are of drunk people. if they’re behaving well enough then there’s no reason to kick them off the bus.
if you can’t recognize it’s better for society for drunk people to have a way home that doesn’t involve them driving and potentially getting people killed then you just kind of suck actually.

i see. and you call it the midwest despite the fact that it's clearly on the eastern side of the country?
a character being a perpetrator does not negate their victimhood and neither does their victimhood negate being a perpetrator. u can accept and reckon w both dimensions in ur analysis
there is nothing morally purifying about suffering or victimhood, it is not something that inculcates “goodness.”
one’s character has no impact on whether they were/are a victim or not, victim status is not something that is only afforded to the palatable.
it also does not = absolution.
ppl cant handle this in cartoons made for teenagers lets not get ahead of ourselves
