RWBY Vol. 5 Ep. 12 - “Possible Spring Maiden Spoiler”

So while watching the end of RWBY Vol. 5 Ep. 12 something came to mind. We all assumed until this episode that Vernal was the Spring Maiden. And at the beginning of Vol. 5 Leo and Qrow never lost a word about Raven being the Maiden. So should’nt this mean that Raven actually killed the at first mentioned maiden to gain her power ? And since we kinda got the information that Leo knew the maiden before she ran away that would mean that Leo should’ve known when he saw Vernal that she was’nt the maiden.  

Maybe it’s even possible that Qrow already knew about the fact that Leo was manipulated by Arthur and Salem so that’s why he only said, that “Raven has the maiden” instead of “Raven is the maiden” 

If I’m missing something then please tell me more.
