#y’all should see the wild shit people say in the lawschooladmissions subreddit#about the ~insanely high~ number of people that doctorshop to get an ADHD diagnosis just to get accommodations for extra time on the LSAT#to get a better score so they can get into a T14 law school#like…no#it’s just that more people are getting a late diagnosis after having trouble their whole lives#and learning more about it thanks to the internet#and that’s why it seems like more people need accommodations#are there people that scam the system?#sure#but it’s never nearly as many as you think#just look at how republicans talk about food stamps and ssdi#it’s basically the same concept
Republicans didn't start caring about the opiod epidemic?
Until their sweet Republican children and their poor Republican Voters?
What you need to understand about this?
Is that if the Republicans are smart? (which they are not)
They would lean, very hard, into allowing ADHD drugs to flow freely.
Because ADHD affects Republicans too.
And there are going to be a lot of very angry, very rich Republicans with a lot of very unhinged ADHD children who need meds and accommodations in their offices VERY soon.
I also want yall to know that, as a therapist who works with ADHD clients?
WE AS CLINICIANS DO NOT AGREE on why there is a boom and if it is valid.
Seriously. I've talked to clinicians who think it's an over perscription.
I've talked to therapists who think it's people finally realizing what is happening to them.
I've talked to people who blame the DEA.
Like...this is...more than a single issue - it REALLY is
So I tell you, AGAIN, get your meds. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
